Wow, just wow! Soon you won’t even be able to find a table here, it was so good! The atmosphere is beautiful and they have lots of seating as well as a roof top bar.
We started off with the Asian fried shrimp & the spicy tuna stack. The shrimp were huge! They were crispy, nicely sauced, and freaking delicious! The tuna stack was amazing, the tuna was extremely fresh and it was like eating a tuna roll.
They have happy hour starting at 3 p.m. so I ordered the frozen rainbow, which was a nice treat and had great flavors!
For lunch we went with the in & out burger & the cali chicken sandwich. They both had large portions and came with either the slaw or the fries, the fries were crispy and went perfectly with the meal. The chicken and burger Pattie’s were juicy and beautifully seasoned.
The portions are huge for the price!!!
I can’t wait to sit up on the rooftop bar on the next visit!

The food was delicious. Really good portion shrimp appetizer and the strawberry lemon cake is to die for. The cocktails were also very good. I will say it is a bit on the pricy side, but everything was good so I would say it was worth it! Really awesome date night place. Rooftop view is also pretty nice! I will definitely be coming back to try some other menu items.

The food and drinks here are great. I’ve been twice for happy hour and once for dinner so this is my third visit . I love the Paloma with the hibiscus salt. The tacos are $16 for three small tacos and delicious rice and beans. We split the avocado egg rolls to start (amazing) so I only had room to eat two of the three tacos. The fish taco was crispy and seasoned and delicious but the carnitas one was superb. The meat was smoked and juicy and the picked on ions perfect. I’ve seen some bad reviews for this place and I don’t get it. It’s not crowded which worries me because I really like it!

This is a hard place to review, so I will break my comments into Pros and Cons:
Pros: The food and service were adequate. I had a fish sandwich with fries and lemonade. My wife had a salad and added chicken as her protein and water. She said her salad was very good.
Cons: There is very little atmosphere. There is literally nothing on the table except napkins and cutlery. If you want salt, pepper, sugar etc.s you have to ask for it. My drink came with no ice, which I thought was strange. The waitress informed us the minute we sat down that there was an automatic 20% service fee (AKA tip) added to your bill. I am not a fan of tipping for service that I have yet to receive. We ate lunch and the total bill was $51.66. My wife’s added chicken was $7.00 and the service fee was almost $9.00
Summary: There was nothing wrong with Kali Love. The food and service were both acceptable. Where this went sideways for me was price. I cannot afford to spend an average of $52.00 for lunch when I order just a sandwich and salad.

Disappointing Experience: I made a reservation for a friend’s birthday based on a recommendation about their rooftop. Get there and it was not busy at all which was concerning but whatever the host tells us the rooftop is closed (reg flag #1) this is a beautiful Saturday evening why would the area be closed! We get seated on the patio and the waitress that comes out visibly has an attitude, she comes out twice to take our drink order and food order and leaves. The next time we see her is almost 35 minutes later when she brings one plate of food to the table with 3 people which was TACOS!! So of course I’m not just going to eat. We ended waiting another 20 minutes for the next plate and never got the 3rd plate of food. I can not express how disappointing this service was. Not only was it a celebratory night for us, it was only 1 other table full in the restaurant!!! We should have got 5 star service because what are yall doing. The waitress literally never came back to the table. I’ve never experienced that in my life. The manager was super apologetic and that was appreciated but doesn’t take away from the fact we sat for a hour and a half and did not get served properly.

We wanted to try out the new restaurant so we went with our friends. We have been to the Island Shrimp Co and the atmosphere was the same which I think it pretty nice. It has an island feel and nice colors. The food was okay. Two of us ordered tacos, one a salad and the other fish and chips. The tacos were not amazing especially for the price but the salad was pretty good and the fish was good but a little pricy. The problem came with the bill and an added 20% service fee. We did not see it or know it was coming but the real crutch was when the waitress told us that she would not receive any of it. We asked to see the manager and apparently the manager was on the phone and couldn’t come. So we paid the service fee and a tip! This was the weirdest experience we have ever had at a restaurant. A service fee that we didn’t know about, a bill that says it has a service fee not a gratuity and a place for a tip too. Did the waitress play us or does this restaurant treat their servers terribly? We just don’t know. On top of that the food and service just can’t make up for that seriously odd encounter. Some people are upset about the service fee but we would have been fine with it because we usually tip more than 20%. We just didn’t see the fee so we couldn’t know exactly what it was for. The receipt called it “service fee” and with just that info and the word of the waitress just soured the overall experience.

Communication was terrible at the restaurant and the response below is another attempt to explain something that I shouldn’t need to write a review about to receive the information. Transparency is receiving correct information in a timely manner. I emailed the company immediately and did not receive a response. I rarely write a review unless I think it would be helpful for me to read before going to a restaurant. Others can now go and know what to expect, not because the company was transparent but because someone let them know beforehand. I would definitely go back again if anyone writes a review on a particular menu item that was AMAZING.

My family was there to celebrate a birthday. We were the only people there do about 45 minutes then about 5 other people came in the restaurant that were not part of our party. But, we placed our orders way before those 5 people. We waited 2 hours before I asked about our orders. Those 5 people got their orders way before us by the time we got our food those people had eaten and was gone. The upfront 20% I feel is wrong because we are tipping for bad service. The food was good especially the non-alcoholic strawberry/lime drink.

This has got to be my favorite Restaurant Group to patron, and Kali Love being the newest addition to the group; did not disappoint!! I shared some fries Shrimp with my wife, which was so impressive! The seasoning, size and panko crust would have me trying to get this appetizers, every time! So, my wife was born in CA and loves some IN N Out Burger, so of course she tried that and had a nostalgic experience. Of course I had to try it to and agreed. We also had the fish sandwich which was next to amazing, along with testing a fee drinks that we will spin the block for.
Needless to say, this was yet another 5 star experience for me without including the chill and relaxing atmosphere and the vibe and relational experience with the staff.
