We had a fabulous lunch here. Great food and such friendly people. There is so much on the menu that it was hard to decide what to choose. We finally settled on the breakfast sandwich, which was absolutely amazing. This is a family place and the owners are so nice; we felt practically like family ourselves by the time we finished our meal. Nonvegans will love it just as much as vegans do; the food is so good, you won’t miss the meat! Highly recommended; we will definitely be back!

We tried the BBQ Seitan, Mac & Cheese, Chana Masala, Cabbage, Kale, and the Philly Cheese. Dessert was a Cinnamon Roll & Chocolate Chip Cookie
MUST TRY: The Philly Cheese, the BBQ Seitan, and the Mac & Cheese were all sensational!

I’m from out of state visiting a friend who lives about 45 minutes away from here. I was so happy to find a vegan restaurant option for our shopping day.
It was absolutely worth the drive! Honestly, I would drive out here just to eat at this spot.
The staff was so kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
Everything we ordered was delicious. We didn’t even get photos of it all because we couldn’t wait to eat. The flavors were incredible and the sauces were amazing.

I say yes to Kale Cafe! The food is incredibly flavorful and so satisfying. This is a family run business and they really care about their service, quality and customers. Looking around the dinning room you can easily see that they treat everyone like friends and family. Their customers adore them! We are so fortunate to have them in Daytona. I’ve been enjoying their food for many years and I love their new space. They have an app! Order ahead and become the winner of dinner. 🙂

The food is beyond delicious I love finding vegan spots I’ve never been to. They have a great selection of food, whether you’re looking for a lighter meal like a smoothie or a bowl, or something more like a burger or chicken sandwich, they’ve got it. I got the chicken less agave sandwich with a side of Mac n cheez! Five stars for all of it lovely place with nice people and good service.

You get nothing but smiles when you walk in the door. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We ate there a couple times while we were in town for biketoberfest. The juices are top notch and the breakfast options were awesome. I’ve included a few pics. My only regret was we didn’t visit them more while we were there. My name is Cheyenne Dowdell I ordered food on December 13th around 5:30pm and received it by 6:30pm on the kale cafe and app.
I want to support this local business. However I will no longer support them at all. I just spent over 29.00 for a meal. I ordered the deluxe on their app. The deluxe veggie burger the toppings are vegan cheese and seitan bacon. I didn’t receive either item I called the restaurant and the employee answered the phone to adhere to my complaint and proceeded to asked me if I would like to drive up there for another burger. I said no that’s why I choose delivery so it can be delivered to me. She then stated let me ask my manager what we can do to compensate you. Her manager Camille stated that I can refund you 2 dollars for the seitan bacon and vegan cheese. The deluxe burger is 17.00 dollars on the site. The delivery is $7 dollars. I’m here to support a local business instead of being compensated and understood by my frustration I was meet with a $2 dollar refund. I wasn’t expecting anything free but an apology would have been nice and maybe $5 dollars off your next meal something would have been better than no apology and $2 dollar refund. Another time happened when I ordered a smoothie and I told Camille “I said the smoothie didn’t taste too good” instead of making me another smoothie Camille goes and do something else to the smoothie. No apology, No “what I can do to make this better” However I was meet with “I’m just going to give you the same smoothie”.
I want to support a black business but some of them like “ Kale Cafe” don’t really get the concept of how to give proper customer service and that makes me not want support them anymore. I had situation happen at a restaurant called “ FRESH KITCHEN” I drove 45 mins away to Lake Mary and they left the kale off my salad bowl. I called the store back when I came home to daytona beach florida and the manager apologized immensely and stated we will send you $20 dollar gift card where you can get a free bowl. You know why they did that cause they want to keep the customer. That’s how you keep customer retention.
Side note the mac and cheese is bland with no flavor and a lot of the food is bland with no flavor. Only thing that tastes pretty decent is the veggie burger. The cookies are hard and extremely dry. The desserts be hard and bland. The only reason this restaurant is still around is because it’s located here in a small city were it no other stiff competition when it comes to vegan food. But it would not survive if it was New York, Atlanta, Chicago or even Charlotte when it comes to good food, food quality and customer service. My cousin who came down from Atlanta last week asked me about Kale Cafe and I recommended the veggie burger. My cousin said they give you more bread than they give you the veggie burger and that she would not come back again.

This was a wonderful first visit. I was brought to this restaurant by my friend who is a vegan, and it was an incredible taste of vegan cuisine.
The location on Beach Street is very nice and the facade is welcoming. The interior of the restaurant is fantastically appointed and makes you feel very comfortable.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They will do everything they can to make sure you get an amazing dinner.
