I stopped by this Kalaveras to take advantage of their happy hour. When I came, they were not busy at all. There was tons of parking spots near the front and barely any other guest inside. I sat at the bar area so I could watch the soccer game playing.
I got the spicy buffalo wings from the happy hour menu. I think it’s a great deal because you get eight bone in buffalo wings. They also give chips and salsa as complimentary.
I like the chips and salsa, it had a nice spice to it. My buffalo wings came out quick and it was good to me. When I sat at the bar, the bartender used a fly zapper swatter to get the small flies around the bar area. It would discourage some guest but it didn’t bother me.
The customer service I received here was great, I didn’t have any issues when I was dining at the restaurant. There was no loud music that Kalaveras is known for when I was there but it could be because they save it for the night time.

The food was exceptionally delicious, with a plethora of good flavors and great sauces, presented in an appetizing manner. The establishment is very elegant and nice. However, the service, while polite, was merely adequate and lacked a personal touch. A welcoming greeting, such as inquiring about the day or occasion, would have set a positive tone. Unfortunately, the restroom had a bad odor, and the sight of a cook in uniform failing to wash his hands after using the urinal was off-putting. Despite this, I will return, hoping for an improved experience.

Kalaveras could easily be mistaken for a soulless chain restaurant that is all style and no substance. But it delivers so much more.
The atmosphere is loud. Like a club, they’re always banging reggaeton music, and screaming birthday shots of tequila is not an uncommon occurrence. You can definitely come to Kalaveras to get loud and have a great night.
But don’t sleep on the food. The salsas are delicious and fresh. All the menu items we’ve tried have been really nice, like they’re coming from a much more intimate kitchen. I particularly like the enmoladas which are pleasantly complex in flavor.
Kalaveras is definitely worth stopping in for a fun evening.

Our bartender Nina was amazing. Friendly, easy to talk to, and made great drinks! Service was quick and they made us feel very welcome the entire time. We’ll definitely be back!

I absolutely loved my experience at this Mexican restaurant! The food was bursting with authentic flavor, and the service was so friendly and attentive. What really made it special was the vibrant atmosphere – the black lights gave such a cool, almost otherworldly glow to the incredible calavera artwork throughout the space. It was festive, unique, and added such a fun energy to the whole dining experience. Definitely a must-visit!

I love taco Tuesday there. The street tacos are really yummy and the food comes out pretty quickly. The down fall is, you wait for refills on your drinks, no napkins or silverware at the table and the waiters don’t really seem to come by often once your food is set down. I finished my margarita and waited for about 10 minutes before someone sloshed by our table, so I did not have another. Asked for the check, that came quickly and returned quickly. The waiter is very nice, but should walk by the tables a little bit more.
Taco Tuesday is only $1.49 per taco so it is definitely a steel! The music was hip hop style mostly in Spanish which is fine because it is a cantina. It feels like this place should be off the hook, but there seems to be something missing. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but maybe the wait staff could be a little more outgoing.

My brother and I enjoyed our little lunch break here. We saw that they had a sign for Taco Tuesdays out front so we stopped in. Figured neither of us had that much of a lunch earlier, so this would make up for it. Got pretty much our choice of a table as we picked a good time to come in. Not busy at all! Friendly staff and the atmosphere was nice. TVs for the watching the sports. Food was good! I did notice many other reviewers complaining about the loud music. My sister who went here for dinner just a couple of weeks ago said the same thing. But when we were there, it seemed OK to us. It wasn’t loud at all. Maybe they turn it down for lunchtime and turn it up for dinner. ♀️ Either way, management should know they’re getting a lot of complaints about it. Tacos are $1.49 on Tuesdays. I definitely would go back to try their other entrees.

This is an exciting new venue that we visited during its grand opening, as it offered a unique experience. The atmosphere is vibrant and lively, and while it can get a bit noisy, many would find it enjoyable. The drinks are quite good, although the food was just satisfactory; it could be that our selections didn’t fully showcase the menu. If you prefer a quieter environment, this might not be the ideal choice for you. However, the lively ambiance makes it a fun spot to visit, especially with their $1 Taco Tuesdays, which is definitely a great deal!
