We chose this restaurant just to try the roast duck for the first time and let me tell you it was delicious. You can taste all of the flavors that went into making this Duck. It comes on a bed of white rice and served alongside lightly steamed bok choy. I also ordered pan-fried chicken dumplings and pan-fried duck bao buns. These are not your regular Americanized Chinese dishes. This is the real deal and you can taste it in every bite. The atmosphere was very nice as well. It’s kind of like a mini food Hall with a hand full of different Orient restaurants. We will be trying one of the other restaurants very soon.

My main order was the crispy pork, and it was absolutely magnificent. The preparation resulted in skin that was incredibly crunchy, offering a fantastic textural contrast to the tender, savory meat beneath. What truly elevated this dish was the accompanying dipping sauce—a perfectly balanced flavor profile that complemented the pork without overpowering it.
I also thoroughly enjoyed the fried tofu with chili sauce. The tofu had a light, crisp exterior and a soft interior, while the chili sauce provided a complex, savory bite with a pleasant warmth. To finish, the ube sesame ball was a delightful and subtly sweet treat.
The operational efficiency was also impressive. Even with a considerable line, the process to order moved remarkably quickly. On the day of my visit, two staff members were efficiently taking orders, which streamlined the entire experience. It only took about ten minutes from placing my order to receiving my food, which is excellent service by any standard. I am already looking forward to my next visit to sample more of the menu’s offerings!

Michelin recommendation really came through with this spot! Located in Mills Market, which is a food court style building area, it was busy during the workday. We got the duck bao (steamed) and it did take some time to make (we waited for a good ~20mins) BUT it was worth it. Super flavourful and tender duck meat in a soft fluffy bun with a sweet sauce to add to your liking. Need to return to try more dim sum!!

They did great on a busy Christmas evening. There was a line but it moved quickly. Service was good and friendly despite how busy they are. Food was hot, tasted great and order was accurate. They are located inside Mills Market building. Parking is on the back side. The door is next to the Little Saigon place. Better for take out due to small seating area.

We finally got to visit Kai Kai BBQ & Dumplings located inside the Mills Market! My boyfriend ordered the Honey BBQ Rib Rice Box while I ordered the two meat option and got it with Roast Duck and Char Siu Pork to go. Everything was fresh and delicious even down to the bok choy. I especially love how they add extra sauces on the side to every order. The duck was fatty and the meat super tender, dunk it in some of the sauce and its perfect, and the Pork was flavorful too. Great portion for only $16 a box plus there is a whole bakery area shared in the market so we also got a Taro mochi bun, an Ube cream bun, and a whole loaf of Pandan bread to take home to share. All three were winners! Next time I come I will most likely try some of their dim sum menu and upgrade to the Hainan Garlic Rice as well. Everything is packaged in to go containers even if you are dining inside the food hall. Service was friendly and quick with less than a 10 minute wait for our food even with the space being super busy and crowded. This market space is a fantastic idea and I cant wait to come back and try some more Kai Kai!

The food here is absolutely delicious! I ordered the box that came with ribs, pork belly, and duck, and every bite was amazing. The pork belly was on another level….perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. The ribs were tender and tasty, and the duck was fantastic. I also had the noodles, which were really good and complemented the meal perfectly. Definitely a place worth visiting if you love authentic and flavorful dishes!

This was my first time trying a Michelin starred restaurant and I’ve got to say it definitely delivers in the taste and quality. I ordered the roast duck rice box. It contained white rice, steamed bok choy and the roast duck. The duck was perfectly seasoned not too salty, it’s also perfectly cooked and melts in your mouth. This dish is great for takeout since it’s a bit hard to take the meat off the bones, in addition this place has limited seating and parking. The wait for the food was minimal and service from the staff was great.

Having to pick only a couple of things to try was so hard. Everything looked so delicious. We ordered the Siu Mai, Young Chow Fried Rice, Pork Dumplings, and the Spicy Sichuan Wings. Everything was so good, and I need to go back for more. It’s inside Mills Market and I highly recommend it!
