This place was amazing! I am vegetarian and it’s hard to find places that serve traditional Mexican food for me. I can’t stress how good it was. My boyfriend (meat eater) tried the tamale with me and we agreed it was the best tamale we have ever had.

Great food! SO many vegan options. Always friendly staff. We’ve been coming here for years and highly recommend it. The rice and beans come with several of the plates and is probably my favorite part. No alcohol but amazing fruit juices!! Even vegan horchata. They also just added vegan ceviche and a soy meat alternative for their dishes. AMAZING! You must try this place!!

I travel and eat out near daily. Karlos was amazing. 5.0 all the way. The menu is easy to read. The music is at a perfect volume for speakability. Artwork of interest abounds. Service with a smile you rarely see and is a thing of youth. Then my order, which I mistook the ensalada, My mind said I needed to eat with “THE BEST enchiladas” tattooed outside and my eyes said ensalada. Let me tell you. The apple pecan with fresco and that secret dressing. Murders may occur at that point. Be careful! That secret must be something akin to love a mother has for her child. As the waitress understands my mistake and to be sure I’m a happy customer, they serve me enchiladas for free. And that’s when the murder for secrets did not occur. Because some secrets are worth keeping. Or it wouldn’t be special. And such is the kindness of this family minded staff. Showing love to a customer as if he were their child. Highly recommended.

I got chips and guac, and the street tacos. The chips and guac were $11, and honestly, not worth it. The guac was mostly tomato (check the pics). The tacos were $16, came with three tacos, rice and beans. I’m down to go back, but skip the guac.

This was a small hole ️ in the wall place that had pretty good food. (My Relative didn’t like her taco plate) I had a smothered steak burrito
I thought it would be smothered in green chili ️ but it was like an enchilada sauce that was pretty good. I’ll be back2 sample more items from the menu in the near future.
So check em out if you’re ever in the neighborhood and holla at a Playa

Very cutely decorated and friendly restaurant. Smoothies were great but I really came for the many vegetarian and vegan options! It’s amazing to get to try such a variety of authentic Mexican food (not just Tex Mex), as a vegetarian! Thank you all for your wonderful restaurant!
If this information was useful, I’d appreciate a quick like or follow, please. Thank you!

Awesome neighborhood spot! Enchilada heaven! I really enjoyed my steak enchiladas and my fiancés carnitas enchiladas (verde) were excellent as well. Can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options too!

This is a great restaurant with lots of superb vegan and gluten free menu options, as well as regular options. Seemingly never really busy as I went there for dinner and my party and I were the only table there. Highly recommend this spot, especially to cater to alternative diets. Unfortunately this establishment does not serve alcohol and is the only reason I didn’t add a 5th star. Lots of Friday Kahlo pictures and paintings.
