My wife and I visited on 7/ 26/25 for the first time and we were not disappointed. This was our 22yrs Anniversary weekend getaway. The food was awesome! The soup, crabs, and shrimp was hot, plentiful and of good quality. We truly enjoyed ourselves in every way with good service and a great atmosphere. This is a must visit for all seafood lovers if in the area. We will be back. To all, please keep up the great job.

On Labor Day I went to Kahler’s Crabhouse for the first time. I ordered a Medium Male Dozen. Unfortunately, more than a few of the crabs were overcooked(mushy) and hollow. I am familiar with crabs sometimes being hollow but we had about 3 that were on the empty side. For medium males they were on the smaller side. Overall I was honestly disappointed. Doesn’t mean you all aren’t a great crabhouse. The employees were prompt and communicative, I just did not enjoy my batch of crabs!

We had large heavy male crabs with 20% off $90. What a deal…delicious. The food and homemade butter pecan ice cream was amazing. Affordable prices. Cozy atmosphere.

If you’re looking for a home-style spot to enjoy some great crabs, Khaler’s is the place to go. The food is consistently delicious, and the service is solid.
I’d recommend calling ahead to place your order and secure your spot, especially if it’s busy. Definitely a go-to for a relaxed, satisfying meal.

Kahler’s is a crabhouse. There are plastic tablecloths to keep the juices from the crabs from soaking through and buckets to place your crab shells in but this is typical of a crabhouse. The crabs with the seasoning were hot and steamed while you wait. They were sweet and full of crabmeat. The crab fluff was pure lump crabmeat with no fillers. It was phenomenal. It is recommended to make reservations and if you are thinking of eating steamed crabs you need to reserve your crabs. You are allowed to BYOB unopened bottles of beer or wine. The waitresses do get busy so I would order a pitcher of drink whether it is soda, lemonade or water

I saw this restaurant on IG and decided to check it out. I drove an hour to get here just to be disappointed. I wanted to dine in. However, I was greeted with, “Do you have reservations?” I said no, and the host proceeded to tell me she did not have space for one person, and it’s best to make reservations. I decided to just order some crabs to go since I drove so far and didn’t want the trip to be a total waste. I go to the takeout side and discover that they are limited on sizes and male/female crabs. I ordered half a dozen large male crabs. After I placed my order and paid is when the girl behind the counter decided to tell me it would be a 35-minute wait. I instantly got annoyed. This place is not customer friendly and definitely needs to improve their communication with customers. The crabs were heavily loaded with seasoning and tasted just ok once I took some of the seasoning off. I definitely will not be traveling back here, nor would I ever recommend this place. Parking sucks and the place is small inside. Takeout side has one table for customers to wait at or eat ice cream at. If you’re thinking about coming here, find another spot. Jimmy’s or Mike’s are better restaurants.

They are way busier in the summer. We have passed by many times, and today was the exception.
The entrance was geared for regulars with no ambulatory problems and an extensive sloped series of ramps for those who need them.
We did not order crabs (from Louisiana), the shrimp salad was what we both chose. My side was fries-hot and a generous portion. The shrimp salad on bread or a brioche roll was the selection. It was excellent and really huge shrimp cooked to perfection. We would order this again.
No complaints from us. Our server was great. She knew the menu very well.
They allow byob and offer a set of rules if you want to go that route.
We will be back this summer when crabs are at their best.

My office had a crab feast yesterday at Kahlers. This is my second time at this establishment. The crabs and shrimp were delicious . I really liked how well seasoned the crabs were, which gave it more flavor. After the crabs feast, I ordered a crab cake and fries on the side for my mom’s dinner. She said it was the best crab she had eaten. In a while.

Food was excellent! Ordered a dozen cooked crabs to go and wound up eating lunch. The only negative was it was hot outside on the deck but that no fault of theirs. Didn’t know reservations were needed.

My girlfriends and I had lunch at Kahler’s yesterday, and it exceeded our expectations. It was our first visit, and not only was the food delicious, but the customer service from our server Mallory was exceptional. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended, and if you’re planning to get the blue crabs, you can reserve them in advance. Here are the prices for blue crabs:
Males:
– Small: $37 per dozen
– Medium: $60 per dozen
– Large: $90 per dozen
– X-large: $120 per dozen
– Jumbo: $140 per dozen
Females:
– Small/Medium: $35 per dozen
– Large: $65 per dozen
– Jumbo: $175 per dozen
Note: For orders of large and up, you can add shrimp and corn for $18.99.
We tried several appetizers: crab deviled eggs, cheese French fries, and hush puppies. The crab deviled eggs were decent but could have used some sweet relish. The cheese French fries were perfect—hot, fresh, and lightly seasoned with Old Bay. One of my friends found the hush puppies dry and preferred butter over the honey they were served with.
For the main course, we ordered three dozen large male blue crabs. They were fresh, hot, well-seasoned, and meaty with sweet meat. The accompanying butter was unnecessary. Besides the crabs, the shrimp were outstanding—the best I’ve ever had. We ordered them with onions, a Maryland specialty, and I now prefer my shrimp this way. The shrimp were XL and served with cocktail sauce. The corn was also sweet and tasty, even without butter.
The ambiance was great and family-friendly. Kahler’s is a BYOB establishment with the following rules: only unopened beer and wine are allowed; no other drinks or personal containers are permitted, with no exceptions.
Overall, we had a fantastic time and can’t wait to return.
