Kind of a letdown experience. Nice people and alright coffee, but the space and the seating is just basic and uncomfortable. I’m a little butter that I ordered a flat white and out popped something in a cappuccino cup. They did have a good selection of pastries and cookies and muffins – the good kind. Candidly, I think they could just level up on the espresso side of things and make a more comfortable seating area. The seating they had was bizarre – kind of reminds of those movie scenes where people are visiting prisoners.

Kafiex Coffee Lab is a cozy spot in downtown Vancouver, WA, serving up tasty coffee with a side of friendly service. Street parking is available.
Whether you’re looking to relax at the larger community table or prefer some solo seating, they’ve got options.
A solid stop if you’re in the area or need a break from the bustling farmers market.
Enjoy!

Incredible experience! The coffee is absolute perfection! Not too sweet, but just sweet enough. Just wonderful quality tasting. Can’t beat the waterfront location too. The made from scratch pastries are delicious!! Just a fantastic experience from start to finish!

Previously purchased the beans online
Made a trip to the shop and was told no siphons available as they are changing beans/menu, a bit disappointed
Tried the pourover and may try espresso as seeing they use Slayer
Quick service, nice beans

Love the vibe! Great views of the river and lots of outdoor seating. Coffee was on point. Alfajores are delish! Muffins are a bit dry.

The coffee is great but I feel compelled to give 2 stars because of a strange policy. I went there with my two little girls while visiting the farmers market and ordered an iced latte. I also asked for two cups of tap water for my girls and was charged $2 for each plastic cup of water, which is ridiculous. I’ve literally never been charged for tap water while making a purchase at any restaurant/coffee shop/bar. 2 stars for the $2 cups of water.

Have tried other coffee shops downtown. Nothing beats the quality of teas, coffees and hot chocolate of Kaifex. They also have great pastries. The staff is always polite with a smile on their face and seem to enjoy the work they do which makes the experience all the more pleasant. My friends and I enjoy meeting there right across from the park.

This coffee shop delivers impressive quality in both its beverages and service. The baristas were friendly and attentive, and the coffee was excellent!! However, the pastries fell short, as they did not seem fresh. With fresher baked goods, this place could easily be a perfect stop.

Balancing out my negative review for the other location. Because I do love their drink offerings! I enjoy stopping in here and haven’t been disappointed by a drink yet. Yes, it’s a bit small in here, but that doesn’t take away from my experience personally.

Had a coffee here recently. The staff was super helpful regarding describing their coffee flavor profiles. My Americano was very smooth, expertly prepared. The muffins we tried were both dry and not very tasty. Really appreciated the staff making an effort to find a bean that I would enjoy.
