The food taste is awesome. It is almost the same as the food you can get in Thailand. You can choose level of spiciness. And the foods are Halal. They don’t serve pork or alcoholic drinks. We went there on Saturday during lunch hour. Not crowded at all. I forgot the cook’s name. But she’s super friendly. She’s doing multiple roles. Cook/making drinks/waiter. I’m impressed! Price wise, definitely reasonable. Thai ice tea is sooo good. I ordered 2. We ordered chicken green curry, prawn tom yum, beef panang curry and special request of omelet. Definitely coming back here again.

We were hungry and this was the first place we spotted on Whyte Ave. It didn’t disappoint. There seemed to be only one person working the tables and cooking. She was really pleasant, took our orders and cooked our meal quickly. It was quite tasty! We left satisfied!

Ordered Tom Kha Ga, and it was the best of what is available in Edmonton. The flavour was amazing. I would give it a 5* if not the slightly overpowering sweetness. It was a quick stop between errands, so ordered just 2 dishes and both were amazing.

We also ordered pad thai to go, and it was equally good.
And the lady who cooked and served, she was amazing…. very very attentive…. will surely be going back.

The atmosphere isn’t the most modern looking but they appear to be a small family business. Often times these places cook the best food. They have definitely proved this. I highly recommend and will definitely be coming back. Thank you for the delicious green curry and shrimp!

We had an enjoyable lunch at Kaengthai Bistro. We were craving Thai food and decided to stop by the restaurant to check it out. The place is small but cozy. There are lots of choices on the menu like Appetizers, Soups, Noodles, Stir Fried, Curries etc. We ordered Pad Thai, Green Papaya Salad (my favourite) and Tom Kha. We only ordered three dishes (as we had a heavy breakfast) and requested for medium spiciness for all the dishes. The food tasted amazing… full of flavour, exactly like the ones we had in Thailand! We will definitely go back to try more dishes.

The Local Nibbler

It’s like a fast food quality. Maybe worse than Thai express. Beef was hard. Broccoli has no life. Very salty, oily (as you can see from the picture.) and saucy. I guess I was expecting a restaurant level. The flavor didn’t taste really Thai. It tasted more like a Mongolian beef.

Great and tasty Thai food! This seems to be a small family-run business, and we really enjoyed the cooking — it felt just like home. The lady was also kind enough to give us a free baked vegan and gluten-free date brownie. Highly recommend this place!
