Thanks for shorting my kids birthday because you sat us late and rushed to leave. Arrived at 730, didn’t get sat until 7:58 (wasn’t even busy), they didn’t start cooking until 8:23, and didn’t even do all they usually do with the fire extra my kid was looking forward to because you were rushing to clean up and leave because they close at 9. On top of this, as we get our food they bring over dirty rags of water splashing off the hot top into our food. This is disgusting and unprofessional. I point it out and all that’s said is “oh my bad”, just close this place. The initial server was nice and attentive for something positive to say, they removed my meal but automatically add tip to the bill. I usually tip these places $100 no matter what, so you can have the little $24 you added for literally nothing, I hope it went to the server in full. Will never return to this disgusting location again.

Definitely has fallen off several notches from years past. Made a reservation for my daughter’s birthday dinner and specifically asked for the kids’ birthday “celebration”. The interior seems a little grimy and in need of some TLC. The staff did absolutely nothing to acknowledge our birthday request other than asking whose birthday it was. No special tricks, no polaroid photo, no song and no ice cream. My daughter was super disappointed! I felt as if we were being rushed out the door as soon as we finish eating. The food was still tasty but the portion sizes have plummeted and the staff showed zero enthusiasm across the board.
This location has been our go-to for special meals for 35+ years but the new ownership is not doing the Kabuto name any favors. From now on we will go to Nakato or the Pineville Kabuto location, despite the convenience of Tyvola. Very disappointing.

The hostess (red hair) left me sitting in the lobby for ten minutes after telling me she was going to clean a table prior to seating me. A tatted male host welcomed and seated guests who came in after me but never once asked if I had been helped. Ended up leaving after I saw what was up. Would have loved to enjoy hibachi on a Monday night (esp. coming from Raleigh).

Owner & his neice were super nice folks! Food was hot & fresh. I wasn’t a fan of their yum yum sauce but that’s just me. Dishes were a bit expensive. For 2 adults dining in on a Saturday afternoon our bill was $71.35. 2 entrees & 2 soft drinks. So be prepared. Overall we enjoyed our dishes.

The food was good, however pricy. Good customer service.
I gave 3 stars because there was a roach crawling in the lobby area, which could happen whenever the door opens and closes. But the lady at the bar said that they sprayed and that they were crawling around as if it was ok.
