I chose this place for Valentine’s day and had a great experience during the evening. The atmosphere was pretty casual and stuff were very customer friendly. But the most interesting part was when chief was cooking right in front of us. It was very unusual from my perspective and entertaining at the same time. Prices are reasonable for food and for drinks as well. If you are looking for fun dinner with the loved one or with the friends – do not hesitate to visit this place.

Decided to come here with my Filipino wife and was really disappointed. We had dinner here since we read good things about the place. The service was nothing special, the food was expensive and tasted like a TV dinner. Meat cold, veggies too hard and flys buzzing your ears while you eat. For almost $100 dinner, this was brutal. That’s why the 1 star review. We had to ask for utensils and it was just overall bleh. #DisappointedBigTime – I will say the appetizer of the calamari was awesome.

Great food! Great service! …And what an amazing owner!
I was in town for business and looked for, “sushi near me” since I was craving it. KABUKI came up and I gave a call to see if the were still serving. I called and when I asked if they were still serving food, the man on the phone said, “the kitchen would be closing in a few minutes, but if I was on my way that he would tell them to wait for me.”
Once I arrived and had a seat, none of the staff made me feel like I was inconveniencing them or holding them up from going home. Though to try and not disrespect them, I quickly ordered. My food came out looking amazing and tasted just as good as it looked. After I was done eating, the owner himself came over and asked me how my meal was. He stood and had a chat with me for a few minutes letting me know the type of service he preferred to give to his customers and how he enjoys going around talking with his customers to find out how their meal and service were and amending any issues that may arise.
This is the type of business that I feel great supporting and I am sure glad that I went there tonight.

Absolutely love this place! Been going here since they opened. Hands down some of the best sushi you can get in the suburbs. Service is always on point. You can get hibachi where they cook it at your table or sushi. Full bar, large menu. I love visiting with the owner Chat. He’s always great, friendly, and funny. Even if we go 6 months without visiting, he makes us feel like we’re his most important regulars. If I had all the money in the world I’d probably eat here 2-3 times a week

My husband and I are frequent customers of Kabuki and love it. We’ve only eaten in the dinning room, and what sold me right away on the place was how great they are with my shellfish allergy. I never have to worry about cross contamination, and both the waiters and sushi chefs are great about this. The 12 and 15 piece sashimi platters are so beautifully put together. The rolls are wonderful – even the vegetarian rolls which blow my mind. We love this place enough that we brought a large group of out of state friends here the night before our wedding reception, and everyone had a great time and loved the food!

Place is great. Food and service was excellent. I have gluten allergy and I don’t eat sushi, but love Japanese places 🙂 the appetizers and salads did it for me. I’ll definitely go back again. We saw the Hibachi tables, which were already filling up, but I find that style of food way too much! You’ll enjoy either section!!

Kabuki is the best Japanese Restaurant and bar. Their food is excellent. Every time my family and I go and have dinner there we always feel welcomed. The food is outstanding! The service is great! You could tell the people who work there love their job and boss. The Owner always makes you feel welcome and you feel like part of the family.

Best sushi I’ve had period. Chad the owner is extremely nice and orders all of his fish fresh and only stocks as much as he needs for a day or two. The atmosphere is very inviting and warm. I highly recommend this place to any sushi lovers or anyone new to the venue.

When I eat a Kabuki I normally eat their 9 piece sushi for $22. On occasion when I am feeling like something different I will get one of their awesome rolls like the Crazy Boy or volcano. What makes Kabuki so good is not their rolls, because without good, fresh fish a roll is nothing and their fish is ALWAYS fresh. I have NEVER had bad fish at Kabuki. I’ve never had their hibachi so I can’t speak to that but their chefs are entertaining and I always hear them having a good time with customers. If you are looking for some of the best sushi in the west suburbs then you need to check out this place!
