meh! pace of asian server girl is frantic, hurried, to the point of sacrificing friendliness. Sushi is mediocre at best, nothing special here; What is special is how tricky and deceptive they are with soy sauce. They think their customers are stupid; the low-sodium soy is NOT; it is the same as regular sodium soy. They are too cheap & lazy to buy low-sodium soy although they have the low-sodium bottles; They refill low-sodium bottle with regular; You can tell by the taste and the color. I called her on this – and she took away both soy sauces and never returned. She got ZERO as a tip due to deceptive behavior. Too bad!

If you go you should definitely ask to have Leah as your server! She is simply amazing! We asked her for recommendations for their sushi, not only did she do so, she also was able to describe all the nuances for the taste and flavors! She fully explained and brought us their house made sauces that were delicious! She didn’t just say the sushi tasted good, she explained why! Needless to say all her recommendations were spot on! The food was good. The place was clean. We felt very welcome there. Highly recommend!

Came to Kabuki for my first time. My first impression was all the windows were tinted and hard to see inside. When I walked in the restaurant it was very clean and I was greeted right away. I ordered the lunch special which consisted of two rolls of your choice. I ordered the Crazy Shrimp Roll and the Dragon Roll, which were both delicious and recommend. The house soup was also delicious as well. My server was great and very informative of the menu.

We’ve visited Kabuki Restaurant in Farragut multiple times, and every visit has been consistently excellent. The ambiance immediately transported me back to my trip to Tokyo—elegant, calming, and beautifully themed. It’s a place where you instantly feel welcome and relaxed.
We’ve tried a variety of dishes across several visits, and some favorites have become absolute must-haves every time:
The Edamame with sea salt and a light spicy garlic sauce is simple but so flavorful.
The Shrimp Tempura is perfectly crisp and never greasy.
The Crab Rangoon is creamy, crunchy, and comes with a tasty sweet chili dip.
The Vegetable Tempura—featuring sweet potato, broccoli, zucchini, and mushrooms—is always fresh and well-balanced.
We always come back to the Tokyo Roll, which combines fried shrimp, avocado, cream cheese, and smoked salmon on top. It’s rich, satisfying, and beautifully made.
If you enjoy sashimi and nigiri, this place is a must. The Mackerel Nigiri, Salmon, Squid, and BBQ Eel are all incredibly fresh and expertly prepared. The Nigiri Combo, which comes with a California Roll, is a great way to sample a bit of everything.
But the real star? The Sashimi Combo—absolutely spectacular. Generous portions, perfect cuts, and beautifully presented. It’s easily one of the best we’ve had outside of Japan.

Went here for my birthday with my husband and 3 teenage kids.. was absolutely amazing.. our server was very nice. Very affordable pricing. Everything tasted amazing.. we were so hungry that we forgot to take any pictures but we will definitely be back!!

The restaurant is busy around lunch time and offers a relatively quick in and out experience.
I had higher expectations for the taste of the food as well as the cleanliness of the restaurant. From a bird eye view things would appear in decent condition but with a closer look there were black particles in the salt shaker, dried food on the sweeteners and sweetener box, crayon markings on the wall and each chair the I saw was damaged and in need of repair.
I feel that if the basics of appearance and cleanliness cannot be taken care of on the outside what does the behind the scenes look like for the restaurant.
The taste of the food was okay. I ordered the Japanese pan noodles with shrimp. The shrimp tasted like it was precooked and was very chewy. The noodles were very doughy and not at all firm. The sushi was decent but for the price and taste I could have received better from the local grocery store.
This was my first experience and will certainly be my last.

This is the best sushi place in Knoxville. I have dined in and ordered for delivery, this place never disappoints. They have so many great sushi roll options. The summo roll is to die for!!! I cannot recommend this place enough!
