I ordered the chicken biryani, this was a disappointment for me, it ended up being totally different than what I experienced at other local Indian restaurants. The rice was mushy and discolored, it kinda had a brown tinge to it. Usually, when I buy this entree at other restaurants, it has a bright golden color and the rice has a more of a firmer texture. But the worse part though… was all of the small chicken bones in it, it’s bad enough that someone could choke on it or mess up their teeth, if they aren’t careful or aware of the bones. At other local Indian restaurants where I’ve had chicken biryani at, the chicken is usually cut up in nice thick cubes of white chicken breast. I did not enjoy this meal at all, but the flavor was ok. However, a positive thing I can mention is that the restaurant is open later than most.

I adore places where the food is so good you don’t care about anything else! BEST INDIAN FOOD I HAVE TASTED! I had lamb curry at a spice level 10 out of 10 with garlic naan. Fabulous! This place makes me wish I lived here! I’m a little jealous of the young man who just moved here after graduating from Purdue … or the couple from Iowa who live 3 hours away and eat here every time they come. They don’t even eat rice or bread and yet this menu has them coming back and back and back. I’ve been interviewing people about their food choices. I just met a man who moved here from Ethiopia. He has lived in the area 25 years and after finding this place, he’s been eating here ever since. According to him, nothing else comes close!

Wow. All I can say is wow. The samosas with mint and cilantro sauce OMG. So Devine! We followed it with butter chicken and rice, also came with another goat rice with cloves. Married perfectly with the butter chicken that was tangy and just the right amount of heat. Garlic naan was fantastic followed by amazing balls with Cardamon for dessert. What an amazing meal! Sorry this is what was left. Definitely give them a try!

Hey, I recently visited Indian KABOBS Grill at 7814 Portland Avenue South, Bloomington, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their Chicken biryani which is ZABIHA HALAL. Having just arrived from Hyderabad, India. I found the Hyderabadi chicken biryani here to be just as delicious as the one I love from Shah ghouse in TolliChowki. The flavors were authentic and fresh. The service was excellent, and there’s plenty of parking. I was also treated to a complimentary mango lassi, which was refreshing and flavorful. I’ll definitely be back to try their goat biryani soon, and this place will be a regular stop for me every Friday.

Kabob’s Indian Grill has become my go-to spot for dinner. I keep coming back for the incredible curries, biryani, chai, and mango lassi—all of which are packed with authentic flavor and just the right amount of spice. Not only is everything delicious, but it’s also very reasonably priced, which makes it easy to indulge regularly. To top it all off all the food is Zabiha halal.

What truly sets Kabob’s apart, though, is the wonderful team. The kitchen staff and owner are honest, kind, and always willing to go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Dining here feels like being welcomed into a family, and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine.

The food isn’t what they say it is. I ordered Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala. Both came as tandoori chicken chunks in a thin, runny, dark tomatoey broth and tasted almost identical. Nothing creamy or buttery at all about the butter chicken and nothing of note when it comes to flavor. These dishes are like Indian-inspired chicken stew soups but no where near what they’re described as. The pictures online show that they know what these dishes are actually supposed to be so to send something totally different is wild. What?! Although white rice is the expected accompaniment to both of these dishes- they sent an oily herbed rice that seemed to have ground beef in it. What in the world?! It says served with basmati rice and it is not mentioned that it’s some sort of rice creation. I almost never give negative reviews but this food was literally terrible. I ordered via Uber Eats and highly recommend they put more realistic representation of their food on the platform so that expectations are a bit more clear on what the food is.

Tiny restaurant tucked away in one corner of a strip mall and bit cramped for space inside. It’d be easy to overlook this place but don’t make that mistake, this place is really big on the tastes and smells and colors of southern India especially Kerala. You’ll even find traces of it’s old namesake Malabar.

We ordered and thoroughly enjoyed our Marsala Dosa (with coconut chutney, chilli paste and a light curry sauce) with plain Naan on the side. Tempted to lick the dishes when we were done!

Service is friendly, polite, accurate and attentive. The deco ie very spare and utilitarian but clean, well maintained and in good order. Highly recommend!

Very friendly staff and enjoyed the chitchat with him while I ate.
Best Indian food I’ve had in the area and definitely great. I would recommend to those in the Minneapolis area.

If you are visiting Minneapolis and looking for some halal Indian food, this is the place to visit. I had Kachuri chat for the first time and it was really good. The butter chicken had a unique taste to it and the naan was fresh from the oven.

The only area that I would suggest needs improvement is that staff needs to be quick when it comes to collecting bill and answering any questions the customer may have because it took a while in my case.
