I recently dined at this restaurant, and it was unfortunately one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had. Despite being the only customers there, we waited 15-20 minutes before anyone took our order. Then, after placing our order, it took another 15-20 minutes for the food to arrive—an excessive wait time given the empty restaurant.

We ordered an appetizer, but instead of receiving it beforehand, it came out with our entrées. We weren’t even offered water, and our drinks didn’t arrive until the main course came out. We sat there for nearly 15-20 minutes without any service while waiting for our food.

The food itself was underwhelming. The salad looked hastily thrown together with no care—just basic ingredients, no onions, no lemon, and very little flavor. When I asked for a bigger plate, the hostess decided to attend to another customer at the register instead of helping us. Another several minutes before a plate arrived. Were we supposed to wait to begin eating? No one checked in to see if everything was okay or if we needed anything else during our meal.

I felt bad because there was only one employee juggling the register, the kitchen, and serving, but it’s still a business, and customer service should be a priority. Overall, this visit left a lot to be desired. The service and efficiency were poor, and the overall experience has gone downhill significantly from previous visits. I would not recommend this place based on our recent experience.

I eat here quite often and it’s always freshly prepared with love and fresh ingredients. I’ve had all the plates but the bolani is just the essence of warmth and down to earth flavor. The combos are great too. The owners and family are always very kind to me.

I Will never come back to this restaurant until they run out of business! They lost a daily customer! Warning: ⚠️❌ The food here has been Disgusting lately since the new owner & cook took over last 2 months! Their Kabobs are nasty, undercooked, raw, inedible, causing my kids to get sick. Save your health & money! Avoid this place, Don’t buy from here! The owner is also very rude, she doesn’t give a damn! Stay safe and find a different restaurant to dine at. Remember to prioritize ur health & well-being when choosing where to eat.

We went there last week. We came 4 families, 16 people. People working there were very professional, served us very fast. Food was beyond imaginable, very tasty! I personally took chicken kebab plate, it came with rice, pita bread and fresh salad. My kids ordered same and French fries …. So far I never eat better French fries. What left us pleasantly surprised is the prices. I made picture but it was of a group people, that’s why won’t post no pictures here unfortunately. Would recommendations to come and try their food.

This was our last minute late lunch and it was delicious. All the food came out super hot and fresh. We were greeted very swiftly. The time we went was perfect for us to get in and out very quickly. I would definitely come back with the family so we all can experience it. They had several types of baklava that I did not get to try although I really did want to 😉 this place is a gem go and try it!!!

Someone recommended to try out their kabuli pulao and combination kabab. Service was great, the lamb in the pulao was cooked so well and it had a unique taste which I liked. Chicken and lamb kabob was really nice it was cooked well. Also tried the chapli.
Would definitely come to this place if I’m around.
This restaurant has a party hall which is a plus.

Qabuli pulao 3.5/5 stars

Best kabuli pulao in Elk grove and Sacramento for sure.
(areas of improvement are the rice and the raisins) but the lamb in the pulao was delicious.

Chicken and lamb kabob. 4/5 stars
very delicious juicy and tender even the rice that it came with were simple rice but they tasted good.

Chapli 3/5 stars

The kabab itself tasted really nice but when we call it chapli it shall taste like chapli, smell like chapli look like chapli. Which is why I gave it this rating other than that it tasted pretty nice.

The restaurant was really neat and clean which makes it stand out.

Recommendations. There would be no match to this pulao if Baghlan or similar sela rice are used and the raisins/carrots are deep Fried.

Dining arrangement at the front can be improved.

No ranch on salad plz i think customer shall be asked if they want it or not.

The quality is not the same as before. The portions are smaller and the taste has receded as well. It really depends where you go to get the best Afghan/Persian food. It’s a good place but has definitely taken a step back from its previous glory days.

There are so many other options now.

I ordered over phone, ordered combination Gyro, and Kabab Combo. Rice was very dried, a fish bone was found in the kabab, none of the items tasted right. Chicken kabab was extremely dry, got sick right after eating this food. Won’t recommend anyone to try these items. Spent almost $50, and couldn’t eat half of it.

If you’re craving mantu, this is the best spot! The chicken kebab with rice is absolutely delicious, and the eggplant is full of flavor. I’ve never had a dish here that I didn’t enjoy. It’s now under new ownership, and they are doing an amazing job!
