Friday Feb 27th, 2026, 8’ish PM. Food was pretty good, about the same as always, but about the time our food was due a young man with a hound dog came in and hung out in the waiting area about 3 tables from our table. The hostess and 2-3 waitresses went over and spent about 20 minutes petting the dog and visiting with this young man. I think he was there to see his girlfriend, who I believe was the hostess. When he left with the dog, I didn’t see any of the employees wash their hands. All of the employees were very young girls. Maybe this is okay with other people, but it’s not okay with me. I have a huge problem with this, and unless it is addressed here, I won’t be back. New ownership has clearly taken their eye off of customer service. The previous owner would have flipped her lid if something like that happened.
I don’t know who this kid is, and I don’t know why his female friend thought it was okay for a dog to be hanging out in the waiting area, but it isn’t okay. They need to tighten up the ship if they want me to be back. I’ve been coming here almost every Friday for almost 20 years, back to when they were in the old location. Unless I get a response from ownership here that this has been addressed, I won’t be back.

The food is so good here. The rolls and cinnamon butter are amazing. The staff is very friendly and make sure you have everything you need. The pies and chocolate cake are so delicious. I highly recommend stopping by for a bite to eat here

My wife and I are in our seventies and have enjoyed eating at KT’s Smokehouse a few times a week for quite some time now. We’ve always liked the food and the small-town atmosphere, but what we saw this past Tuesday evening around six o’clock really bothered us.
A young family with two small kids came in and sat down not far from us. The man looked to be some sort of law enforcement or military, and they both looked worn out, probably after a long day’s work. They sat there for fifteen or twenty minutes with no one even offering them a drink. The waitress working on the west side of the building cleaned tables all around them and flat-out ignored the wife when she tried to get her attention. Two other tables right beside them were seated and served before that family was even spoken to.
When the young lady finally asked to speak with the manager, three different servers rolled their eyes and said the manager was too busy. Thankfully, Jennifer (manager)— who’s always been a sweetheart — came over and apologized, but by then the damage was done.
It sure looked like that family was being ignored on purpose, and that’s just not right. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this kind of behavior here, and after thinking it over for several days, we’ve decided we won’t be returning. It’s a shame to see a place with good food lose its good name because of poor service.

We ate lunch at K T’s today! It was delicious! I had the Pulled Pork Salad. It came with lettuce, boiled egg, cheddar cheese, pickles, tomato! Topped with the most delicious pulled pork! Yum. My husband had chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, white gravy, and a roll. Delicious. (He gave me a bite.) We drank water. The cost was about $25. It’s out in the middle of nowhere but worth stopping in!

The food is awesome. I had the cowgirl potatoes at the waitresses recommendation. It’s cubed potatoes with chunks of sausage, pork, cheese, onions, and spices. I also opted for the jalapenos, the dish is perfectly balanced and delicious. My wife had the pulled pork with baked potato and she throughly enjoyed her plate.
The value is great, a large amount of food for the price and delicious.
Will be returning.
