NOTE: If you are not really hungry or looking for a small / light meal, this is NOT the place.

Went into this with zero knowledge of what to expect. My friend that met me there is vegan so our only option was hot pot. We weren’t really sure about selecting things and picking our vegetables from the cooler but we did and just figured it out as we went along. This would be challenging for anyone not open to trying new experiences or cooking their own food. We loved that everything was so fresh. We did wish our server had walked us thru the process better but we understand they were very busy and everyone was doing their best. If you do go here and aren’t familiar with the cooking styles, have an open mind. The process was fun and it was good to try something new.

I had shrimp prawns, gyoza, shrimp dumplings, and ribeye with ramen noodles in spicy szechuan soup base. My friend had tofu and tofu skin with udon noodles in mushroom soup base. We shared vegetables for our pots of mushrooms, bok choy, cabbage, and leafy greens. The hot pot cooks quickly and is a LOT OF FOOD.

I only ate a bite of the salad and would tell them next time to skip bringing the salad.

We were very glad to try it and had a lot of laughs and fun. The restaurant is extremely clean and the staff very welcoming.

Super happy to have Kbbq/hot pot back in Hendersonville!

We went tonight during their soft open period; they’re in soft open through Wednesday, closed on Thursday, and then open for good beginning Friday.

You can choose between just hot pot *or* BBQ, or you can do both for a five dollar upcharge. The whole table has to do the same thing. We did the combo option tonight, which was worth it for the extra five bucks, but I got so full…

Despite being very busy, Bethany took great care of us. She even brought me a couple things I could’ve (and should’ve) gotten myself but I’m an idiot and didn’t see them at the bar. I would absolutely ask for her again. She’s fantastic.

No alcohol yet and they carry Pepsi products (my preference, don’t shoot!) for those who care. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return. If you leave hungry, it’s your own fault. Go see ’em! #FoodiesOfNashville

Hadn’t been at this location since it was K Street, but were willing to give it a try. It was amazing! We just did the BBQ this time, and were very satisfied with it. There were a lot of choices for both meats and sides, and everything was fresh. Loved the lazy susan ring to make it easier to access everything. Sorry no pictures of the food, didn’t think about it until we were finished eating.

Went to soft opening. Great assortment and menu. Hot pot option or adding is great. Self service bar for banchan and some hot apps was nice.

Service was nice, for a busy Friday night it was acceptable. Changing of grill plates was timely and appropriate.

We went during soft opening at lunch. We were seated quickly and our server was very friendly. We chose the hotpot and bbq option for our table of three. We chose our soup base, meat options and veggies. Other sides were on the bar along with sauces. The server brought out our soups and heated the grill. The portions were plentiful. Our favorites were bulgogi, pork belly, fish, and gyoza. So glad to have a KKB/Hotpot place in town. We will definitely be back.

My family of 6 went during the soft open and it was amazing. The menu has something for everyone, a ton of options for noodles, broth, meat, and veggies.

The service was great, our server was very knowledgeable and made really good recommendations for us to try. Can’t wait to go back!

OK so lets get the disclaimers out of the way. Im Asian. Half Chinese half Japanese and I’ve been eating Asian food of many different cultures all my life. I love Korean BBQ. So you can imagine my excitement at a new restaurant opening in Hendersonville.

Tonight I tried it and all I can say is… it was ok. I dont think it’s worth the price. Cheap cuts of meat cut inconsistently, not enough marinade to soak in flavors, essentially it was underwhelming. None of the rich savory sweet and spicy flavors that Korean food is known for. Just bland tough chewy meat. When I asked for more marinade on the meat or marinade on the side to cook with I was told that wasn’t possible.

The service was good. The people serving me were kind, attentive and polite. My drink was never empty for long and they gave helpful suggestions.

The environment was ok. It looked nice enough and the restaurant was clean.

The experience though? Underwhelming. All of.the sauces and sides were in a buffet station. I had to take 5 trips to carry what I needed back to the table. It was definitely not a good process. Too much work even before I began preparing the food. They were out of Kim chi and they didn’t bring all the wonderful little side dishes that is a hallmark of great Korean restaurants. The menu had numerous options for vegetables but the refrigerator is was directed to to get the vegetables only had a few options and many of the ones I wanted were missing.

Overall for the price there are better options in Hendersonville and I will probably not go again.

I have been so excited to try Ktown Hotpot since they opened and finally got to try it for the first time last night. It was AMAZING! We tried to Szechuan Spicy soup and the Tom Yum soup base along with the beef brisket, ribeye, and gyoza (and some noodles). Everything was absolutely delicious. The buffet area for appetizers had some delicious crab rangoons and fried rice. And the sauce bar had great variety for mixing up your own yummy sauce. I can’t wait to come back and also try the grill option! I can’t recommend this place enough and WILL be coming back!
