I visited this restaurant while visiting Madison from Korea. I was so surprised to find a restaurant in Madison that serves authentic Korean food.
I’m sure it’s more delicious than many restaurants in Korea.
The vegetables are fresh, the meat is of good quality, and the sauces of chicken wings and Bibimbap are especially delicious for my family.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food here was only average, nothing special. On top of that, the experience was made much worse by the host, who was also acting as the waiter. His attitude toward customers was very poor and showed a clear lack of basic hospitality skills.

I don’t know if this person is the owner or just an employee, but either way, he seriously needs to improve himself. Instead of being polite and welcoming, he tries to act over-smart and comes across as rude and unprofessional.

When the food is just average, good service becomes even more important — but unfortunately, both were disappointing here. Customers deserve respect and proper service, and sadly that was missing. With a better attitude and customer service, this place could be much better.

Went there for the first time and instantly regretted how much time I’d gone without trying it. Had the spicy pork mandoo( fried and steamed) I actually liked the steamed the most. Both were good! And I had the beef bulgogi, mild (which was not spicy at all, so next time I’ll choose “spicy”) It was delicious! Tender, flavorful beef and I didn’t have to worry about weird fatty pieces! Bc it was just pure good meat. SO happy to have this awesome place in Madison. It’s definitely worth visiting.

My only complaint is they don’t serve chicken nuggets and fries. Not that I would order it, it would just mean I could come more often because I wouldn’t need someone to watch the kids.

Everything is very good, the seafood soup on Saturdays, so delicious. The Rayman, my wife’s favorite.

Just a note, the spice scale is not a Midwestern spice scale. Three stars is PLENTY hot (I like a kick to my food, I don’t think I could go four or five stars, at least not unless I was trying to prove something). Frankly, I might go two stars (spicy) on the scale next time just to be able to get through dinner without a runny nose.

Flavors phenomenal, service fantastic (it is just one guy, so be a little patient). This is our new favorite restaurant.

The food was decent (a bit bland) with a very nice presentation, and the service was pretty good, but I was really put off by the $9.00 sharing fee. It was a lot of food, and my wife and I couldn’t eat two full meals at $22.00 a piece, and only wanted one bowl, but that is their policy-very strange for a Korean restaurant to discourage sharing. Its not like sharing a meal cost the restaurant any additional money, and no extra bowl or extra portions was provided. I would give them another chance because the owners seem kind, but only if this fee were removed.

My family and I celebrated my wife’s birthday last evening at this charming restaurant. We have moved around the country multiple times and had been sad about some of the local restaurants’ hesitance to add spice and complex flavors. K Peppers was a delightful discovery that proved the Madison area indeed has fantastic options.

Owner Eric Kim was an excellent host that made my family feel welcome. It is so hard to find that level of customer care in the post Covid hospitality world. Mr. Kim was very helpful in allowing the parents to enjoy spicy dishes while the kids could enjoy milder options.

My wife felt like it was the highlight of her birthday. As she continues to learn the Korean language and culture, we are positive that K Peppers will be a place that our family can dine at for those special occasions.

The food here is amazing, the bulgogi bibimbap is delicious and my favorite, my wife loves ordering the toppoki. I’ve been coming here for a few years now and never been disappointed, the spiciness is just right (I used to get the 4 but now have gone down to 2) sometimes I even order to go so I can have lunch the next day. the service is always friendly and the ambiance is just right. Eric always makes sure you feel welcomed

All the dishes stayed true to the basics, but I couldn’t find anything particularly special about them. If they want people to enjoy hot stone bibimbap in the summer, they should really lower the indoor temperature — I was sweating throughout the whole meal. If you live nearby, it might be worth a visit, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here.

The food tasted good! The sauce that came with the wings tasted amazing
– spicy yet balanced. We went for Can’t Decide Which Bulgogi Bokummyon and added eggs on top with extra shrimp. This entree was also great in flavor with balanced spices. Our only qualms with this place is that it took quite a long time (more than 35 minutes) to get anything served other than water.
Service was good though as they apologized for the delay claiming it was quite backlogged at that point.
If you really feel like dining at this place, getting a table reservation ahead of time is recommended as it apparently gets busy every day. Also there’s a 8$ split charge and 20% gratuity for 4+ party

Please pay attention to the bad reviews before eating here. Wish I could give zero stars. Was actually good years ago in old location, but has gotten worse over time. After this last experience, we will never return.

I am a caucasian guy, but my mother in law is Korean. Wife 1/2, kids 1/4. So I know what Korean food should taste like. My mother-in-law taught me how to prepare many traditional dishes. Been to many Korean restaurants over the last 30 years. This was THE WORST dolsot bibimbap I have ever had. Chopped raw cabbage? and a TON of it. Nobody uses cabbage in bibimbap except maybe some kimchi. The entire $20 dish had no taste, like eating mushy water. No salt. No spice. No flavor. I added two containers of red pepper sauce and it still sucked.

Even the pork mandu was not great and I’ve made fresh mandu from scratch – not from a bag. These were deep fried which is fine. But that should preserve the flavor inside. They had ZERO flavor. Just a lump of flavorless filling.

Seems they are catering to the non-Asian’s taste buds to those who don’t really know any better. Not recommended at all.
