Overall, nice atmosphere but okay food.
Free chips and salsa to start which is always a plus! The food portions are large and very good. Making your meal wet ranchera or green sauce adds lots of flavour!
Would come again. Very well priced
The food was underwhelming. There were no vegan options and there was little attempt made to offer a vegetarian option. Most of the dishes lacked any flavor and the meat was tough. The fries for the carne asada fries most definitely came from a cheap bag instead of coming from any sort of medium to high quality potato. One of our orders came out incorrect but the food took so long to come out the first time we did not want to wait any longer. The fried ice cream was something I would never order again after getting it here. The margaritas were 70% ice.
The restaurant was pretty disorganized overall.
The owner responds to all these reviews saying they will fix the issues mentioned. From what I’ve observed the negative reviews are the most accurate for this restaurant. There is a lot of room for improvement and plenty of feedback already available on what should be addressed.
The food was good but not great so I’m giving it a 4. Not to say the food wasn’t good but it’s more like fast food Mexican then authentic Mexican food. We had the Baja fish and Shrimp tacos but they did seem a little soggy. The chips and salsa were very good. I would definitely go back and the drinks were extremely affordable.
Nice outdoor patio, just make sure you are seated on the good side of the patio if the sun is starting to go down, because you will get hot. I didn’t sample it, but they serve a GINORMOUS molcajete and friends said it was awesome. But they line the molcajete with aluminum foil for some reason. That pretty much defeats the purpose of a molcajete… still scratching my head over that one.
I had the chicken taco/burrito with tomatillo sauce on it, nothing to write home about, but it was good.
Bottom line – I’d go back for a special occasion but wouldn’t become a regular.
Yes, this place has beer and a full bar in case you are wondering. 🙂
I ordered the chimichanga with pork and the shrimp and fish tacos on two different visits. Pork could have used more flavor in the chimichanga but overall it was delicious. The tacos were excellent but without any island flare.
I really vibed with the two different servers I had. Nice folks, good grinds, pretty amazing alcohol options. If your extra hungry ask for a side of the fajita veggies, they were terrific! Enjoy!
The service is fantastic.
I am a Mexican food snob and it worked for me. As long as you are not expecting Southern California or Mexico mexican food then you will like it. If you are expecting “authentic” Mexican food this is not the place for you.
Chances are you are staying across the street at one of the resorts if you are you can save some money by taking a few steps across the street.
