We ordered 3 specialty coffees, a regular coffee, and a chocolate croissant. The total was over $30. We’re in Somerville, so ok…..I guess. It took almost 15 minutes to get these out which was a little strange for not a very long line. The regular coffee tasted like more water than coffee. I figured it was a bad drip so I asked if they could swap it for dark roast or something else. I just got “sorry that’s all we have.” I just said ok and left. No need to make a stink but it’s kind of surprising they wouldn’t spend the extra 18 cents to try to make a customer happy rather than preventing a sub par Google review, which I very rarely do. My daughter did say the almond croissant was very good. They ran out of chocolate which they didn’t tell us until they gave us the other one. I’m guessing people just expect and ignore poor service, but geez……I think my doctor has more of a personality.

Unbelievably cool space, great menu with breakfast, lunch and coffee. We ordered with a big group and food arrived quickly and was delicious. The kids in our group also got banana Oreo ice cream and it was insanely delicious. Highly recommend this place – it has amazing sunlight and plenty of people working on laptops while they are and enjoyed their coffees. Can’t wait to come back soon.

Absolutely great spot for breakfast or snacks or bakery fare. Pricing matches quality and yes that’s going to affect things a bit, but you’re going to get a better experience here overall than most similar spots in the area. Staff are on the ball and attentive, but it’ll take a few mins to make fresh food for you.
The baked goods may even surpass the fresh food options. So come here for bread or pastries and you will find a 5/5 experience for sure. Can’t attest to the ice cream yet but likely also holding a similar standard.
Plenty of tables in their industrial chic space for those wanting to dine in, but they have a good balance of to-go traffic too.
Will definitely be returning frequently.
Odd graphic design / signage complaint: the “rusted for aesthetic” sign out front is really hard to see against the black backdrop of the building’s front wall. I genuinely didn’t understand I was looking straight at the entrance until I went closer. Very odd. Would suggest a larger more readable sign in a brighter color so it’s easier to see from the street.

Mysterious Skin
We go there very often. Very good food. However, the music (the ceilings are very high and the acoustics is not suitable for hard rock) and the lack of ventilation (you smell food every time) makes us think to go elsewhere next time. These are easy things to take care of, i hope they care.

Came here based upon a recommendation and was pretty disappointed. Crazy high prices – our toasted bagel with cream cheese was just under $6!! The jalapeno bagel was tasty, light, fluffy, but small given the price. Atmosphere was okay – typical urban industrial look, but nothing special. Service was friendly. Geared to take money from young urban professionals.

Grabbed a bagel and croissant to go but the space is beautiful and would be great for a group meal or for some work. The croissant was buttery and had a super clean flavour. The bagel was also tasty. Maybe sourdough? If not then just well fermented. Both were a little too dense and bready but still great.

Average pastries and coffee but awesome breakfast sandwiches. Dropped by this morning to try their croissant, cafe latte and an avocado toast. Croissant wasn’t as flaky and crunchy as the ones I’ve tried at other cafes (Tatte etc) but more expensive. On the other hand, avocado toast was nicely seasoned and the baguette was great.

Best PSL I’ve ever had. Not too sweet, great flavor. Will drive out of my way to get this again. Good breakfast sandwiches but the tempeh bacon tasted like nothing more than sliced tempeh. I thought it would have been flavored and/or roasted in some way to make it crispy and more exciting. Still 5 stars though bc of that latte!
