First time trying Jamaican food and it was so good. I had the jerk chicken with rice and beans, plantains and cabbage. The rice and beans reminds me of a Ghanaian rice dish called Waakye. It reminded me of home. It was warm and flavorful. I loved the cabbage as it had some spice to it. The plantain was fried to perfection. The jerk chicken fell off the bone however I did find it a little bit salty. I would definitely come back again. It seems the Caribbean and West African food have a lot in common.

Light as well as layout create an atmosphere that is cheerful and relaxed. Diners stay as long as they wish – no one pushes them to leave.
Service runs smoothly, hospitality stays memorable or the flavors linger. I award the restaurant a perfect score besides I plan to return. If the idea of a visit crosses your mind, act on it – disappointment will not follow.

Great atmosphere, I met both of the Jamaican chefs tonight, Damion was very pleasant, friendly, professional and jovial. The food was delicious, I had the oxtail tonight, with rice and pea, plantains and corn, the Jamaican beef patties were phenomenal as well, will definitely return!!

So happy this place opened up. The oxtail was GREAT. This is probably one of the best Jamaican food I’ve had in the Denver Metro Area. Kenny was wonderful, food was hot and you can taste the love.

This is a new favorite lunch spot of mine. I love Jamaican food, and unfortunately, there are not many options in Denver for when the cravings come. So how excited was I when I learned Just Kool, which used to be a food truck in Aurora, now has a brick-and-mortar spot in Denver! They’re a Black/family-run business located in a food hall that has some other great options available, including Sonder for coffee. Great space for a casual lunch and large groups. I met the husband and he was friendly and nice as he answered my questions about the menu.
I was impressed with the quality of the food here. I couldn’t decide which I liked better, the curry chicken or the jerk chicken. Both are beautifully cooked, tender, and perfectly seasoned, not too salty or heavy. The rice and beans aren’t mushy! The plantains and corn on the cob are scrumptious. And the beef patty is flavorful and not too doughy or too rich. They have an assortment of Jamaican drinks that i can’t wait to try—I had the sorrel ginger drink recently and it was tasty and refreshing.

My family was in the area and wanted something different for dinner. We found this place in the Junction Food and Drink and were not disappointed. We ordered the jerk chicken entree with cabbage, Rasta pasta and corn on the cob as our sides. The chicken literally fell off the bone! I have not experienced that in years. The flavor was there and everything had a lovely little spice to it. Each side also had its own distinct but delicious taste to them. All complimented the main dish. Our daughter, who is very particular with her food, loved the chicken and asked for more! We left with an extra order of chicken to have for dinner the following night. The guy who helped us was nice and very fast with the order. We will be returning on our next outing in the future!
