This is my new burger spot! Usually Dick’s or Lil Woody’s is my quick burger fix, but this place is my new ‘jam’. Speaking of jam, there bacon jam burger, double smash and the Californian are fantastic. Great food and friendly service. The cook’s are always working hard & take pride in their work. Definitely will be coming back.

Just alright.
Immediately upon entering, I was surprised that the location (centered in the heart of University District) was uncrowded. This is despite the buzz of excitement outside after the big Seahawks victory at the Super Bowl. After ordering, I can kind of see why.
I ordered at the kiosk, which was a little clunky in its organization, and got my food in a decent amount of time.
The food is visually beautiful and they do say that you eat with your eyes. Unfortunately, it looks better than it tastes.
I ordered the smash burger combo with garlic fries and house pickles. The portions were quite generous but, despite the typical overly expensive Seattle price point, I couldn’t muster the enthusiasm to swallow even half of the whole meal. The burger became quickly soggy and was texturally unpleasant. It tasted under seasoned. The house sauce was extremely honey sweet but otherwise had little flavor. The house pickles were of the bright variety, more fresh and less acidic. Even the garlic fries, served with an impressive mound of minced garlic on top, could not differentiate themselves in the realm of flavor. It’s entirely possible that they under salt compared to typical restaurants. If causing their customers hypertension is a concern for them, perhaps they should rethink being a burger joint.
Then there’s the… decor? This place certainly has a personality but I’m not sure what they’re trying to say. There was some confusing signage. I can’t tell if they’re empathetic to our unhoused neighbors but poorly versed or if they’re poking fun at the epidemic of people suffering on the streets. It didn’t do anything to lend to the ambiance of the meal itself and I left with more questions than I ever wanted to ask from a place that serves hamburgers.
Overall, it was mediocre. And, for $25, I can’t stomach a mediocre experience. You can cut through some of the expense by avoiding the combo and the upgrades or you can come with friends and just get a buffet of fries. I would have liked to have come back and seen if maybe the more specialty burgers were worth their price point but the signage alone puts a bad enough taste in my mouth.

Visited Seattle all the way from Texas, and this place is still on my mind! The burgers were absolutely excellent and love how I can just order a screen without having to wait in a long line. I came around 9:30 and they were still welcoming and working hard. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re out late!!! Make sure to bring card or tap because no cash

Went to Just Burgers for the first time. Ordered their limited time deal which was the Tariff Survival Kit that includes two mini sliders, fries, and a soft drink. Super delicious and very fresh tasting. The atmosphere was very pleasant and cozy! Also, outstanding customer service!!! Highly recommended!!! Love love love it !!!

i went to just burger last night and my god was it the worst burger i have ever had, first off the area where u order the food is super cramped, i walk to a seat after ordering my food (super confusing ordering kiosk btw) and i instantly smell the stench of chemicals, cool whatever maybe my food will be good right??
wrong. i ordered a smashburger with carmilized onion, when i tell u this was the worst burger i ever had i mean it, this was the first time i didnt eat my food at a restaurant, it was lathered in mayo and this house sause that tasted like mayo with hot sauce, the bun was the same ones they use in school cafeteria food, and the taste of the burger meat omg bro i didnt even know what i was eating, it instantly ruined my day i had to go get boba after to cleanse my stomach. OVERALL id give this place a solid 2/10 do not go here

Not the best looking burger. The one on their menu is not the same as this one. So be careful before ordering. It’s probably my last time ordering here. Overall food is 3/10. Don’t have to tip for the machine.

The curly fries (and all fries here) are the BEST and you get a huge pack for $5. Super reasonable prices for fresh food made to order. My only thing is that I wish the allergens and ingredient content were more available, my partner has dairy restrictions and we were unable to locate if the buns and sauce contained allergens. Regardless, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The Ave offers plenty of food options, but not a ton of places to stop for a burger. Glad that Just Burgers is here to fill that void. Made a fan out of me and I’ll plan to come back when I have that same craving again
