1. Beef Bao Buns – such a familiar taste. Soft and tasty!
2. The Rainbow Roll – a classic roll with variety of flavors.
3. Caviar Service – first time trying caviar, felt so adult like ;p
Served on a bed of raw tuna, accompanied by Japanese milk bread! Very yum.
4. Baja California Roll – my favorite item I ate that night!
5. Lychee Martini = 10/10!!!
Honorable mention cocktail was the “Harvest Moon”!!
The environment of the restaurant is super classy. Loved the overall vibe and the delicious food was the cherry on top to a great evening!
We went around 5 p.m. on a Saturday, and they were fully booked. I tried making a reservation online but couldn’t, so here’s what I learned:
1️⃣ Call ahead, or
2️⃣ Book your reservation in advance.
Despite the rocky start, we sat at the bar and ended up having the best experience ever. The bartender was friendly and kind — he really made our meal extra special.
We ordered the Spider Roll, Baja California, Tuna Tataki , and Forest Dragon with eel. (Sadly, I forgot to take pictures of the menu!) My favorite was the Tuna Tataki — it had a spicy, smoky flavor that was so good.
FYI: the tables by the bar are first come, first served, and you can order food there too . Each roll is about $20. It’s definitely on the fancy side, so the prices reflect that.
The sushi took a bit to come out, so just sit back, relax, and enjoy the vibe. Our night ended perfectly — the bartender surprised me with two birthday desserts : mochi ice cream and mochi churros.
It was such a lovely evening with friends.
The quality of the food was pretty great, and on par with what we were expecting. We definitely did not leave hungry! The sashimi and nigiri were fresh and delicate, the rolls were thoughtfully crafted and we had a non-seafood eater in our group and they had plenty of equally yummy options for her. The short rib and karaage were a hit with the whole table. My personal favorite bites were the Black Magic with some ginger to brighten it up. Delicious!
The pastries were really great as well. The pastry chef is quite amazing. The Hojimisu was a big hit at the table – Hojicha tea is super yum, but my personal favorite was ultimately the Mochurro. Light and fluffy on the inside and nice and crunchy on the outside. Had a perfect amount of integrity to not fall apart but still be delicate. The coconut ice cream was a really great pairing with these.
Overall, would return and recommend!
What really set the night apart was the service. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel completely taken care of without ever rushing us. It turned a great meal into a truly memorable evening. This is a hidden gem and I highly recommend a night out at Junto!
I highly recommend for every couple who wants to go on a little date night or even just a casual hang out with a friend! You can even go by yourself! ✨
The menu is large, and unless you’re a sushi expert id recommend asking the waiter to recommend some dishes. I did and the choices were wonderful!
A good cocktail menu as well.
