Juno Bakery in downtown Frederick is an absolute gem and our favorite place to stop for pastries and coffee. Their pastry selection is outstanding, with something for every craving—beautifully made sweets for anyone with a sweet tooth and equally delicious savory options that are just as satisfying. The coffee pairs perfectly with everything on the menu, making it easy to linger a little longer. What truly sets Juno apart, though, is the staff: everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which adds to the cozy, laid-back atmosphere. The large front window is a huge bonus, flooding the space with light and making it a perfect place for people watching while you enjoy your pastry. Juno Bakery is a must-visit if you’re in downtown Frederick.

My boyfriend had been wanting to go here so we stopped in for a little post-hike treat. Charming little shop with plenty of seating. It was very busy when we came but it gave us plenty of time to peruse the huge variety of baked goods and decide what we wanted. Very beautiful and creative macarons and cakes (although we didn’t get any). We ended up getting the red bean donut, pistachio cronut, twisted donut, caramel macchiato, and cafe mocha. All was delicious, although the cronut seemed overpriced and the coffees were extremely foamy and took a very long time to make. We loved the red bean donut the most!

They have one of the best brands of coffee. The Lavazza coffee is a great coffee, so my cappuccino was excellent!
As a bakery, unfortunately they don’t have a lot options of gluten free pastries. No vegan pastries so kind of disappointing, but I totally recommend this place!

We were walking and was in mood for a matcha.And tried this place , have been here before too love their macaroons pikachu and bear chocolate.This time we had taste of few bites of curry croquette, Kimchi croquette was really good.The taro matcha was so different,along with the boba good one ,Thai tea boba was really good.Their cakes we grab them for birthdays soft and tasty.Good try.Seating area is limited.

I took the wife and child to this bakery and we had mixed reviews. Pricing was good, food taste was ok, and the atmosphere was great. Store had many selections both hot and cold. Friendly staff and great seating. On our way out, a deranged” guy walked in creating an uncomfy enviroment. I immediately took my fiance and daughter out. Huge plus for playing soft music. Overall, not bad.

The presentation is very nice but it’s simple. Nothing against that but that’s just what I think!
The taste is pretty average. Nothing crazy or new. The shaved ice I’m pretty sure is just milk. They add little sweet cornflakes in it and add a sweet syrup on top of the strawberries. It’s perfect for someone looking for a refreshing not too sweet treat! It’s not super filling either, very easy to finish. Overall, I would get it again! I’d definitely try the mango next. It’s definitely nice on a hot day! It cost me about $11 and I do feel that’s a tad too high but to each their own!

6.50 for a tiny eclair (smaller than a normal small one) and to be honest the pastry was mushy and soft and the cream inside wasn’t pastry cream at all but rather tasted like thick marshmallow fluff? Not fresh and delicious. Also really weird non-music music playing on the inside sounded like a loop of fighter jets going off (watch video attached to hear it)
Made for a stressful experience. Gave two in stars instead of one because they have a nice glow lights and decent decor. About the food, prices, and Music cannot make up for that.

Nice interior, friendly service, good choices of baked goods. However our caffe lattes were not that good: too sweet (normally coffee shops wouldn’t add sugar unless asked) and kind of lukewarm rather than hot.

Hippo Wonder
This place sell Korean-style bread and cake as well as drinks. The bread and cake look so appealing. But, I only order a matcha boba. And it was the sweetest matcha drink I ever had in DMV area. I almost couldn’t not taste any matcha, just sugar and milk.
But this place has a good vibe, so I give 3 stars for that and the appealing bread.

Originally when I was browsing bakeries and pastry shops in the area, the listing said coming soon, but as I was milling about on Market after getting some fragrant teas from Voila! I saw people coming out of here! I didn’t hesitate, I skipped right on across the street to see what I could see.
The cutest Korean bakery! The same bakery you know and love from H Mart now has a stand alone location in the heart of downtown Frederick.
I took a spin around, snapped some photos and then grab a tray to load up with goodies. I love that its self-serve. You can always get the one you want without the awkward and mostly ineffective pointing and direction giving from behind the glass lol. I picked up a nice mix or sweet and savories. I think my favorite was the spicy jalapeño ham & bacon roll. It was soft, spicy, salty, and just the right amount of sweet from the dough. You can order finer pastries, coffee, and boba tea from the counter and eat in or take it to go.
I’ll be coming here every time I’m in town for sure!
