We had an exceptional experience at Juniper. Our server, Abby, was phenomenal—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm throughout the entire evening. Her service elevated the experience from start to finish.

We opted for the six-course tasting menu, and every dish impressed. The food showcased high-quality ingredients, thoughtful execution, and bold, well-balanced flavors—nothing felt lacking or overworked. Each course felt intentional and refined.

I was honestly surprised not to see Juniper listed in the Michelin Guide. Compared to several Michelin-listed restaurants I’ve visited, Juniper delivers stronger dishes and more polished service. I believe Juniper would be a strong candidate for a Bib Gourmand, and with some refinement and stronger standout desserts, even a potential star.

Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend, and I’m already looking forward to returning.

Unforgettable dinning! the staff at juniper provided a six star experience. Beyond grateful for their efforts. Every single dish was above and beyond. We enjoyed the chefs selection menu, and I am so glad we did – although the standard menu looked incredible as we watched those dishes being prepared and sensitive put to other dinning patrons. The staff was very kind and helpful and fun, the food was incredible, atmosphere was festive and energetic – we had a great time in Austin and our meal at juniper was the pinnacle of the trip. Truly grateful we.chose to dine at Juniper, if you a re seeking top.notch dining in Austin Texas consider juniper. This meal reminded me of Etch in Nasheville which was also a very special experience.

Hospitality here is truly unmatched! Chef Sterling and the entire staff at Juniper went above and beyond to make our evening special. We were celebrating our 18th anniversary and my birthday all the way from Sugar Land TX and they even surprised me with a little birthday gift — that’s unheard of!

We were treated to some incredible chef specials on the house, and every bite was bursting with flavor. The drinks were just as impressive, and the food… absolutely phenomenal.

We had the pleasure of sitting at the chef’s table, which had a cozy, low-light ambiance and a spotless, inviting atmosphere. From start to finish, the service, the food, and the experience were all five stars.

Our bill was only $100! (Tip not included)

Highly recommend dining here — we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

The experience at this restaurant was unlike any other before. Ambiance, service, food quality — all of it was above and beyond.
We were in town for my friend’s bachelorette weekend and wanted a break from the classic tex-mex and BBQ that Austin is known for. Juniper delivered.
For our reservation, we were offered an opportunity to sit at the chef’s counter; we would come back and do this again without a shred of doubt. Being able to watch the kitchen work like a well oiled machine was incredible. Not only were we able to see the food made first hand, but the chef was incredibly generous and kind, gifting us with an additonal appetizer and a dessert at the end of our meal. All of the staff were wonderful, from the hostess who greeted us upon arrival, the service staff and the kitchen staff; we were warmly greeted and able to make conversation with several staff members, including the chef.
Now, the FOOD! We chose the House Focaccia appetizer with whipped ricotta and calabrian honey; the flavors complimented one another so well and the ricotta’s texture combined with the honey was unmatched and the focaccia was fresh and delicious. Chef gifted us with the Gnocchi Di Patate appetizer, and this was a first glance into what this kitchen can do with pasta. The gnocchi immediately melted in our mouths and was complimented wonderfully with the turnips and bergamot. For entrees, we each ordered a pasta — the Cacio e Pepe and the Rigatoni Alla Vodka and we shared a side of the broccolini. The pasta, all made in house, was presented beautifully. The vodka sauce was spiced to perfection, and the house made rigatoni combined with the burrata and vodka sauce was an experience to behold. The cacio e pepe provided the perfect amount of pepper. The broccolini was pleasantly charred to perfection and covered in fresh parmigiana. Our gifted dessert from the chef was from their 6-course tasting menu, the Limonata Drop. This was amazingly textured, almost like a big gusher (as chef described it to us!) that tasted of limoncello and yuzu.
All in all, do yourself a favor and stop in if you have yet to do so.

We had the absolute best time at Juniper sitting at the chefs table. Michael , our server and bartender, was extremely personable and attentive. It felt like we had the entire place to ourselves, despite the dining room being full. We were able to meet Adrian and Abby behind the line and they were absolutely incredible , demonstrating precision and care with each dish! I cannot recommend this place enough, truly a one of a kind culinary experience !! Thank you so much!!!

Originally booked our reservation and unfortunately, our Uber took us to the wrong side of town and we were pushing time a little bit late. The manager Elle was so gracious enough to still let us in 10 minutes before close and was so attentive and excited to take care of us. Our server Tyler was amazing. He provided us with such amazing service and also made us feel really special for our anniversary. We definitely loved this place so much, and it was such a memorable experience, and it felt so great to be prioritized the way that we were. Phenomenal hospitality and food was on another level.

One of the best fine dining spots I’ve been to in a long time. Service and staff were some of the nicest, helpful and well informed staff I’ve ever been around.

Food was bursting with flavors. My personal favorite was the Vodka Sauce dish. The Cacio e Pepe was outstanding as well. We enjoyed the fish for its freshness but did have a strong capers favor.

Parking is valet and the neighborhood is sketch on a good day, rough on a bad day so would recommend it.

We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary at Juniper and had an absolutely wonderful night.

We sat at the chef’s counter and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Marcas took such great care of us from start to finish, and both Hector and Phil were generous with their time, sharing insights about the dishes as they came together. The whole team made us feel genuinely welcomed, and we were even treated to a few extra bites along the way, which was such a thoughtful touch.

Every dish was excellent. The focaccia was so fresh, the puffy potato is a must order and truly unique, and the cacio e pepe, rigatoni, and cavatelli were all standout. We finished with the affogato, which was the perfect ending.

It’s one thing to have a great meal, but it’s another to be treated with such kindness and care. We left with great leftovers and a renewed appreciation for what really good dining in Austin can feel like. We’ll absolutely be back.

Service and atmosphere great, food was subpar for fine dining.

The 8oz wagyu tenderloin was good, but the pasta dishes were pretty bland. Was about $220ish for 3 people.

Not trying to knock the chefs but its important to leave an honest review. Very nice place and great staff.

Note: The rating given here is against similar priced fine dining places in Austin.

We visited for my wife’s birthday celebration, and overall it was a solid experience—though I had hoped for something truly exceptional.
The food quality was impressive. My steak was cooked perfectly to order—tender, juicy, and flavorful. However, it fell short of what I’d expect from a true Wagyu or even a high-end New York strip. There was virtually no visible fat cap or marbling; it lacked the rich intramuscular fat that defines premium Wagyu (which far exceeds USDA Prime standards in marbling). The dish was delicious and well-prepared, but labeling it as “Wagyu” or “NY Strip” on the menu felt misleading. A more accurate description would help set proper expectations.
Service was another area that disappointed. Our server seemed disengaged and reluctant—like he was doing us a favor by being there. Both my wife and friend noticed it too; my friend even quietly asked if I thought the server was unhappy serving us. It detracted from what should have been a special evening.
While the meal was good (and I’d return for the food alone), it didn’t quite reach the “great” level I wanted for my wife’s birthday. That said, the kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing, so next time I’d love to try the chef’s tasting menu and sit at the bar for a more intimate experience.
Thanks for a memorable (if not perfect) night—we appreciated the effort on the food!
