GO!!!! We rode our Harley from Aiken out to Ridge Springs to see what everyone was going on about (multiple recommendations from different friends) and we were not disappointed! The drive itself is beautiful with rolling hayfields, cattle, and peach orchards. They have reclaimed an adorable old Main Street store and were so friendly. We definitely felt welcome! It wasn’t until later that I realized an owner herself, Jeanne, had taken our order. The food is delicious (I got the corn chowder and quiche, he got the roast beef sandwich and we split a strawberry shortcake). Every mouthful was outstanding And I’m already craving more corn chowder! They have darling 1950s tables and chairs as well as offer Artwork from local artists. It’s quite the experience and I highly recommend it to anyone. I really do love that they are leading the charge on reclaiming this small town main street!

Cute place with great food & service! Bigger inside than I thought it would be. Order at the counter then they bring it to you. Serve yourself tea or lemonade in glass mason jars with lemon or peach slices! I got the grilled ham & Swiss on rye with tomatoes with feta on the side. The ham was piled high, the rye was fragrant and toasty and just the right amount of brown mustard. Husband got the club with chips and said it was also very good. Nice, homey feel with retro-style tables & chairs, local art (for sale) on the walls and fun string lights and decor. Small but adequate unisex bathroom. The available cake slices for dessert looked delicious but we didn’t try any.

A great place to experience what some might find in a big city. A beautiful building, quaint atmosphere and rotating menu. The menu wasn’t what we expected for that night but still it was unique and creative and tasty. We had the crab cakes w/grits and smoked brisket. There is a wine and tasting menu option. Definitely made me feel like I was experiencing something unique and worthwhile. Ambiance was perfect and made for a nice date night

Had dinner here tonight for their New Years 4 course dinner. Was my and my husband’s first time here. We knew that it was going to be good as we went to dinner with a friend and his wife and our friend is an amazing local caterer and knew we could trust his judgement… definitely did not disappoint! The atmosphere is very unique and eclectic. From the old building that this restaurant is housed in, to the mismatched plates… the whole vibe is very cool. The food was soooo good. My husband and I each ordered something different so we were able to try everything on the menu tonight. The owners are great people and we highly recommend this restaurant.

Located in Ridgeville SC, this restaurant was very busy and surprisingly a very pleasant but quant experience. Had lunch, ordered at the counter behind a small line, wait was short, menu was sandwiches, food was delivered promply, drinks were self serve at a drink bar. A small town but good restaurant, if passing by again I would stop for a meal.

I first heard of this place from a PBS show called Backroad Bites. Juniper sources their ingredients locally and are known for their corn chowder. It was amazing. The dishes were seasoned perfectly, with the natural flavors of a diverse set of ingredients taking center stage. Id say the dishes had more of a focus on quality rather than getting a ton of food for cheap. I left feeling full but still able to walk around and enjoy the Peach Tree 23 yard sale.

This is hands down our favorite restaurant in this area – very worth the short drive from Aiken. The food is stellar and they are very accommodating for those with allergies or intolerances. The shrimp and grits are the best ever, the corn chowder is a not so secret favorite of anyone who we’ve ever taken (even in summer), and the house salad has the absolute best blue cheese vinaigrette and fresh made bacon bits on it. Almost forgot – the crab cakes are legit too, and the rueben is delicious – not things that the South is known for (Chef Brandon is originally from Maryland…I typically don’t trust crabcakes from anywhere but MD). We have been to events they have catered and also had them cater our wedding – I can honestly say their food quality completely translated to catering and 7 years later people are still telling us they need to come to SC to go to Juniper because the food at our wedding was so good. And the planning aspect was easy, straightforward, and there no surprises. Our menu tasting was one of my favorite dinners we have had there. 10/10 recommend.

Update: they are still awesome and are doing summer hours this summer, as well as a chef series with chef collaborations! Fridays are still the best shrimp and grits ever, and the house salad and corn chowder are still staples that are consistently delicious, visit after visit, year after year. Still 100% recommend a visit.

Stopped by for lunch today at Juniper’s and it was great! The atmosphere was a nice country feeling. The corn chowder was absolutely fantastic and so were the sandwiches. Definitely wanting to come back for dinner. Their menu changes for lunch and dinner.
