I had take out because I found this Indian place with a little bit cheaper options than other Indian places around Huntsville. Just save your money and buy from another Indian restaurant. I bought two entrees and naan and dessert. The chicken in both the entrees were diced and and dry. One of the entrees had the curry spilling out all over the side and into the bag and left the bottom completely covered in sauce. The paneer chicken is NOT panner chicken. The naan for almost 3 dollars was one piece, which I thought would automatically come with the entrees like they do other places and it was hard to choke down. The other entree was severely dried out, cold, and unflavored. We left that one untouched. I’m no cook but I could have bought a jar of curry and rice and chicken and made it better. The dessert which was suppose to be chilled was melted and half on the bottom of the tray and the other half slid all over the plate. not presentable at all but probably the best thing from the meal. I spent over 45 dollars for this and should have just waited and spent the 60 on our main Indian places in Huntsville.

I went here for a quick lunch. I was a little late to the party and I think some of the items that would normally be featured at the buffet ran out by the time I got there. There was a good variety of options still though. The Tikka was smooth and creamy and flavorful. The rice was well cooked and fluffy. Fresh naan and plenty more options even with some of the options already running out. It is a serve yourself style buffet and you pay after you’re finished eating. Good price for a hefty meal and a drink that you can refill. I’d recommend giving this place a try. The staff was very kind not just to myself but to everyone I saw them interact with.

I visited this restaurant last week and I had such a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered Chicken Vindaloo, Chicken Tikka, and Garlic Naan, and every single item tasted amazing. The Chicken Vindaloo was flavorful, the Chicken Tikka was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the Garlic Naan was warm, soft, and fresh. Everything felt authentic and well-prepared. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Indian food❤️

I went into Indian Kitchen knowing almost nothing about Indian food beyond a few dish names. I met a friend there for the Thursday lunch buffet at 11:00 a.m., which turned out to be perfect for a first-timer because I could try a little bit of everything.

The buffet had:

* Two types of rice
* Naan
* Mixed vegetable pakora
* Chicken tikka masala
* Chicken curry
* Achari chicken (I think)
* Paneer kadhi
* Kheer
* A table full of sauces and accompaniments

Everything was great. I wasn’t a big fan of the chicken curry, but that’s just personal taste and I still finished what I took. The naan was so good I could have made a meal out of it by itself. They also had a mango chutney that went really well with the chicken.

Nothing on the buffet was “hot” spicy by default, but there were plenty of peppers and sauces so you can make your plate as spicy as you like. The restaurant was very clean, it smelled amazing, and the staff were kind and welcoming. Overall, it was a fantastic first experience with Indian food.

I was a repeat customer off and on for around three years, but I can’t give them any more chances this time.

I would mainly come for biryani (I go to different Indian restaurants for different dishes since they each have their strengths and weaknesses), and it would be good for a while, but eventually issues would just keep happening until I couldn’t take it. Usually it would be the food tasting stale and old, sometimes feeling a bit queezy afterward but not enough to be sure. They consistently lower the spice level if you are white or sound white on the phone. These issues would continue to frustrate me over time and then I would stop coming for a while, it just isn’t worth it for the price, but then I would get a craving I couldn’t beat and give them another chance.

The final nail in the coffin was the attitude and entitlement of who I presume to be the owner (given that I asked for them). I had figured out a simple modification to solve the issue of the subpar chicken pieces in their chicken biryani by substituting it with the chicken 65 chicken and all was well for a while. The problem came today when I ordered it as take out (I even mentioned “same as usual” which the employee on the phone understood and remembered), and what I got was almost completely flavorless rice with chicken 65 on top. No masala, no fried onion, nothing that makes it good.
I called them to try and figure out if there was a misunderstanding that lead to that mistake. I ended up asking for the owner, and he decided that yelling about it was a proper way to handle the situation. He first tried to claim that I ordered chicken 65 biryani and not special Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani, but it was literally written on the box and the receipt. He then switched gears and started yelling and claiming that they don’t do special orders, despite me doing it before and it never being an issue and never receiving any pushback. He kept yelling and saying not to do modifications and demanding to just order again (to still not give me what I ordered). He was dismissive, rude, and did nothing to resolve the issue and denied a refund or exchange. I will not be giving them another chance.

This reaction combined with how they seem to intentionally lower the spice level if you sound white (I actually tested this with an Indian friend) shows that the owner has a serious attitude problem and does not respect customers. They can’t even deliver good food consistently to match, and I am quite upset about paying so much for just some almost entirely flavorless rice and a couple small pieces of chicken that cost them a few dollars at most to make. All of this is consistent with the experiences of other people I have talked to.

Would not recommend rolling the dice on this place, there are several other places in town that are more deserving of your money.

Best Indian restaurant in Huntsville!

We’ve visited a few different Indian places in Huntsville and this one is by FAR and away the best we’ve tried!

The Chicken Tikka Masala and Madras were amazing! The food came out much more quickly than expected and honestly the flavors were superb.

Will definitely visit here again!

Delicious Indian food. A little bit more authentic than The Modern Curry. I had the butter chicken and it was the best butter chicken I’ve had in HSV so far. When we went for dinner it was not crowded at all. We were seated immediately and our food was out within minutes. Only about one or two tables were occupied at the time. Great experience and delicious food. Will be back again soon.

I ordered the butter chicken and it was so good! Tried a friend’s chicken biryani and that was delicious too. My husband had the Tandoori Chicken and loved it. Service was a bit slow but we were with friends and weren’t in a rush. Would definitely eat here again!

This place was delicious!!! Must try if you’ve never been.

The first time we came to this location it was owned by someone else, and I wasn’t fond of the food. That was in 2016 maybe?? But husband reassured me it was not the same, and it really wasn’t!!

We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala medium spicy and Lamb Vindaloo spicy, Peshwari Nann, and a appetizer that was cauliflower with a spicy red sauce ( I can’t remember the name)

First let me just say.. their basmati rice was amazing. I don’t know what they did different. I don’t know how they made it, but it was amazingly good. My husband is Asian and we eat a lot of rice and spicy food.

He said that this restaurant was perfect for adding the HEAT that he has been searching for all over this city.
The Chicken Tikka Masala was so creamy and the chicken was fresh and not dried out! I can say that in the 6 states we have lived in this is the best one I’ve ever had.

Now for the Peshwari Nann the flavor was great, I just wish the fruit nut mixture was more of a spread on the inside and not such large pieces thrown between the nann. It was so delicious, I just am a texture eater and would have preferred them smaller.

The service was quick, and the server we had was friendly and helpful.

Love this place! The chicken biryani serving is huge, enough for two people! Also enjoyed the peshwari naan. They have a lunch buffet everyday except Mondays, it’s cheaper on Tuesday Wednesday Thursday vs Friday Saturday Sunday. Haven’t tried yet but excited. Service was great, highly recommend!
