We come to the area (Thompsontown) twice a year from gettysburg to a cabin in the area. Branched out and found Juniata Junction. Very happy we did! Service was great and friendly. Food was made with care and tasted great. So great we decided to come back the next day for breakfast. We think we finally found our “go to” place for the area when we come to the cabin. Will be back and bring the rest of the family with us.

We were traveling all day and found this place to stop to eat. I definitely would Rate them as fast food in more ways then one. We got there and no one else was there. So we did get our food pretty quick, but it was also bland, not what we were used to for the price that we paid here.

A friend and I were heading to an auction that morning. My friend has been here before. After being on the road already two hour, (with an hour to go) my stomach was sounding like a bear fresh from hibernation.
We were a little early being they opened a 7am. Found this place to well diverse for breakfast. Waitress happily greeted us, seated and took our orders. Common breakfast for me with eggs, home fries, beacon, toast, and coffee. Prices were reasonable, good and service was good. With full stomachs, we were on our way. Would stop again when in area

Fantastic service. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was perfect. Their pie selection was phenomenal. We enjoyed our breakfast.
Update: We stopped in with a large family group, since we have been here multiple times and loved the food. We called ahead to see if they could seat us all and on the phone and they confirmed that they could and they would push tables together for us. We get there and they refuse to let us sit together, claiming they can’t get between our tables with a tray(a tray was never used) if we make one long table. Well, then we are sat in tables back to back and there is no way to get between our tables anyway. They put our orders in separately, by table- and they came out at different times.
Our group was a multi-generational group and we were all in town from hundreds of miles away and wanted to spend breakfast together at a central location before going our separate ways. What a disappointment. We won’t be back again.

Excellent food with excellent service! I ate breakfast here but will definitely have to come back later on in the day for lunch sometime.. the homemade pies in the cooler looked delicious!

I got ham potpie and it came with apple sauce and I got a thing of sweet potato fries.. My boyfriend got crab cakes with baked beans and it came with coleslaw and he got loaded fries.. Very friendly people, very nice set up inside.. Excellent food and service for dessert he got a slice of orange poke cake slice, and I got a slice of lemon meringue pie..

Food was wonderful but they offer a first responder discount but require you to be in uniform. Unfortunately for a volunteer firefighter that is unreasonable. You should required the first responder to show a active membership card not be uniform. If your a first responder skip this place!
