We are now officially DONE with this restaurant! My favorite, the barbacoa tacos are discontinued. Instead, I ordered the Southwest Salad. Tasty, but full of rotten, slimy salad.
I collected the rotten lettuce and showed the bowl and napkin to a woman at the register.
I was astounded when she asked if the salad was “overdressed.” I said NO, It was rotten. This woman and the prep crew should not be allowed to be within 10 feet of food. The bill was over $40 for lunch.
DONE! Done! DONE!

We looked at our credit card charges this evening and noticed that the first charge of $71 was not corrected. So we have been charged for 5 meals: 1st charge of $71 and a 2nd charge of $49.29. UNACCEPTABLE!
This has caused a lot of stress since we now have to go to the restaurant tomorrow to straighten this out. I hope that they make this worth our while and retrain the manager as well as Hunter!
Hunter at register was argumentative and lacked knowledge about substituting with corn tortillas for gluten sensitivity. Then he charged us twice for Mojo Pork Bowl and pushed the charge through before we could review it. Manager corrected charge and made excuse that they were very busy. So is that why Hunter was argumentative and incompetent? Because the restaurant was busy?
On the positive side, the food is great. I will look for Duo to wait on me the next time…he is fantastic!
UPDATE: We spoke with the corporate office and are awaiting resolution to the charges on our card. We have also been issued a credit for our meal.

Excellent Brunch, I had yogurt with fresh fruit, Toasted muffin & coffee. I was seated immediately, sat at the bar and was served by Nancy who was perfect. The food was delicious and came out promptly.

Junction Bistro, Bar & Bakery in Chevy Chase is a bright and modern breakfast spot with chic decor and lots of natural light. It opens at 9am on weekends, which is a convenient touch. The service is warm and welcoming, and while the price point is around $30 per person, portions are quite large—two main dishes could easily feed three. The short rib breakfast sandwich is a standout: the meat is tender and flavorful, served on a crunchy, chunky muffin with great texture. Their breakfast potatoes are also well-seasoned with peppers and onions. The Huevos Rancheros dish was unexpectedly delightful and fun. One important note: the coffee is extremely sweet—both of our drinks were loaded with sugar, so be sure to ask for no extra sugar unless you like it dessert-sweet. Overall, a great spot with quality food and generous portions.

I had the amazing Tracey as my server and she welcomed me with open arms!
I was kinda hesitant to go because I didn’t want to pay for parking in the garage, but they validate parking!
I had a short rib breakfast sandwich that had mustard onions and scrambled egg with cheese and it was delish! It all sat inside of a cheddar chive biscuit!
I also had a rose petal iced latte which was flavored beautifully and had light floral notes. Will definitely be back!
They also have outside patio seating which is very scenic

I stopped by Junction for lunch with a friend and this was my first time here.
I got a bit overwhelmed at first because they have a few different menus and also one posted on the wall.
I proceeded to ask the waitress what her favorite dishes were and she said “there’s a lot that I like” I liked her response because It means she tried a lot of the dishes and there really isn’t much you could go wrong with. She began going into detail about the different dishes and that made me feel really comfortable because while she was explaining I was reading the menu and she was spot on. She spoke with so much passion I was excited to enjoy my meal.
We ordered a set of wings, the drunken fish combo and the $5 happy hour punch. & not to mention there Happy Hour is Monday- Friday 11-8pm! I love It here! lol
I like my wing fried hard which they weren’t but they were cooked well. The fish sandwich was HUGE & crunch my on the outside but soft on the inside. The fries were my favorite- so tasty.
The drink was not your typical rum punch which was a nice touch but was definitely not expecting that.
I would definitely come again and maybe next time try some of the baked goods!

While the service was great the sugar cookie latte tasted like it was made in a kurig and the heurvos rancheros wasn’t giving authentic. A bit on the dry side; giving tostada…but honestly every one in there was ordering it, so clearly a local favorite. Over all not terrible I think I just came in with high expectations

Counter self-serve. Menu is available online and portions are generous. I enjoyed my meal as did the others in my party. There is ample free parking behind Junction 1 block off of Wisconsin Ave.

I came here with my wife for her birthday to get pre-dinner drinks. No exaggeration….Best Mule I’ve ever had! They make their own ginger beer and that must be what does it. So incredibly good. The bartender was also super friendly and I can’t wait to come back with friends!

This was my second time visiting Junction Bistro, the first time was a couple of years ago, just when they had opened. I liked the casual vibe of the place, with a marble bar and tables, and wood accents. It vaguely reminds me of some NYC casual restsurants, or maybe the Bistro in Paris. I am not a fan of the way the service works, wgmhich is order at the cash register, sit down and wait for the food (they give you a number). As a customer, I feel that the incentive of the few and very busy servers they have to give excellent service is somewhat reduced (when paying for the food, you are asked to give a tip, which in this type of restaurant set up is sort of counter intuitive (?). What am I tipping, exactly? The food (at least what I ordered) is serviceable, but not excellent. I ordered a “chorizo” burrito (the chorizo was spicy ground chicken, lacking the characteristic garlicky-paprika taste of either Mexican or Spanish chorizo) that also was overstuffed with guacamole, black beans, pico de gallo, american cheese(I think) and wrapped in a flour tortilla. The burrito was enoumous, but it distinctly lacked seasoning (salt, spices) and the ingredients’ flavors were muted. It was served with a big portion of breakfast fries (freshly fried cubed potatoes, red peppers and onions) which were served hot, crispy and well seasoned; these were delicious. While I was eating, I asked the server for a glass of water and she pointed to me to the two glass containers with water (with or without lemons) for self-service, which is fine to me, but why am I tipping again, exactly? Finally, my opinion is that Junction Bar’s food and very, very light service vis à vis their prices Has Room for improvement. Maybe having more servers on the floor, and better quality control and consistency of their food are areas of improvement for their offer
