I was looking for soul food and this was one of the places that popped up. After looking at their instagram I decided to give them a try. Let’s say I’m not disappointed !
The service when I walked in was top notch. I was the last customer of the day and did not feel rushed which was awesome.
I got two crab egg rolls and a cheesesteak egg roll that was delicious. The sauce they top it off with babyyy bottle it up and sell ok 🙂

I also had the banana pudding , which took me back I am one who does not care for the bananas in the pudding and was happy to see there wasn’t. It was a bit sweet but still good

Let’s not forget the Mac & Cheese, that was also delicious. My only complaint is I wanted a tad more seasoning but my sister tried it and said it was perfect, I just like high blood pressure lol
8.5/10
Now last but not least the seafood salad … Chef Kiss. I was skeptical due to the fact a lot of places us imitation crab meat. Well not here ! Nice lump crab meat with succulent shrimp and seasoned perfectly. Oh & the noodles weren’t soggy

Let’s say this place exceeded my expectations and the 23 minute drive was well worth it.
Oh & let me not forget they are about their people. Standing in line I over heard him tell a family of the neighborhood that he is doing a “50 for 50 school age kids summer food program “ So if you’re a parent in need and live in the area you may want to check him out.
Recently I tried some of my favorites. It’s the seafood salad (I enjoy mines with Ritz crackers) and the shrimp and steak bowl.
It’s something about that shrimp and steak bowl. The flavors infused together is magical. Especially topped off with their special sauce… Everything my family and I tried from the crabcakes on down to the homemade burger’s is delicious. There’s never been a disappointing moment….
The menu offering French‑style dishes and desserts is appreciated — people who enjoy European cuisine tend to like the variety and presentation.
Good for special occasions or dinners: the setting makes it feel a little more upscale than casual eateries
The food can be okay for a quick bite on break — I’ve gotten the rice and chicken with onions before — but it’s not a place I would choose for dinner or as a first option. Today I tried their special sauce for the first time, and it made both me and my coworkers sick. I’ve had the salmon bowl twice before with no issue, so I know it had to be the sauce. I am hoping it was the sauce at least.
Unfortunately, that was the last straw for me. I’ve given this spot a few chances over the years, but after today I would not go back.
The lemonade was good a bit sugary but got a free refill so can’t complain, Definitely would recommend. Big space not a place to dine in but overall great ambiance.
