This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had, and frankly, it was alarming.
After eating at Julio’s Restaurant, both my friend and I became sick. That alone speaks volumes about the food quality and handling. This wasn’t a coincidence or a “sensitive stomach” situation—we ate the same food and had the same result.
Serving food that makes customers ill is unacceptable and dangerous. At a bare minimum, restaurants should meet basic food safety standards. Based on our experience, that standard was clearly not met here.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will absolutely not return. Your health is not worth the risk.

Fantastic food. I was there for dinner and had ordered Arroz con pollo for take out. It was bit pricier than expected but hell it was damn good. It comes with chips and two different salsa. And don’t forget to ask their hot sauce if you like it that way. Service was fast and friendly. Will go back again when in the area.

Ordered to go. Hostess was rude. Three steak tacos were $14 but apparently come with no toppings (even if you ask for them, their website says they won’t honor the request). Absolutely wild that a $44 takeout order won’t buy you onions and cilantro on your steak tacos. Anyway, WORST nachos I’ve gotten from ANY Mexican restaurant, and I’m not being dramatic for the bad review- I swear on my life they’re the worst. Doesn’t help that the nachos are just beef and cheese with no other toppings, but the beef looks like cat food. Will not be ordering from or dining here again. We didn’t even eat half of our orders because it’s just… not good. Like, there isn’t even any seasoning on the steak in my topping-less tacos- what is this? If you’re even remotely close to Williamsburg, just drive to Taco Mexicali because I promise it’s worth the upgrade over this place.

This place is really good! It’s been our favorite Mexican since my mom moved to New Kent. We were lucky to find them! I’ve tried most things on the menu and we like them all, especially the flautas, taquitos, fajitas, shrimp burritos, and carne asada burritos.

We were slow to try this place after moving here, not sure why. The food was great and the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be going back.

Friday night pop in because we were in the area. Quickly seated, tons of food options! The waiter didn’t come back to fill drinks but one time, but I’ll credit that to being end of the day. All in all, so glad we stopped!

Excellent! Huge menu! Our food was really tasty, although the Soft Chicken Taco was a little skimpy. Not a big selection of cerveza but the Dos Equis Amber was tall and cold! Complimentary chips and salsa, of course and the salsa was very good. Out door seating but it was too hot of a day for that. Good attentive service. We’ll be back!

This is a great little spot right off of I-64! Exit 205, follow the road signs for “safari” coffee shop to easily reach the small shopping center Julio’s is located in.
The staff are friendly and kind. All the food is superb, Chimichangas, fajitas, all of it. Personally, I’d say especially their shredded chicken dishes.
The restaurant is not huge, but luckily it’s not super busy outside of holidays or special events usually. They do have a small outdoor seating option as well.
The menu is very reasonably priced with most dinner combinations starting at $7.50! The other prices for larger specials and what not can vary from $9-14 depending on what meats and such you ask for. The portions don’t disappoint either!
Great place for quick delicious food and good service! Check it out!

First time going here yesterday. The place was pretty busy, i have no idea why. My family ordered a variety of things. I got chicken tacos, my daughter got a burrito with ground beef, other daughter got beans and rice, wife got carne asada. It tasted like none of the meat in any dish had been seasoned. I had to ask for an extra bowl of salsa to make my dry, unseasoned chicken tacos remotely palatable. Also, i got food poisoning, I’m literally sitting on the toilet writing this. Do not go here. The service was ok, the place looked ok, no funny smells. But that doesn’t matter. You should not go here. I’m posting pictures of my chicken tacos. You can see it has no seasoning on the meat at all and i had to ask for cilantro which was provided for free. We left the rest of the food as it was bad, but i thought i would reheat the chicken in a pan and actually season it until i started exhibiting food poisoning symptoms.
