Cute little spot for mediocre food. There are reviews from BonAppetit and other food & wine magazines, without dates or sources.
We ordered the Venezuelan pork sandwich and Juliet omelet, with 2 warm drinks. Omelet was cold and while it was cooked like a French omelet, it left a lot or be desired with seasoning. It was the same for the sandwich, which tasted like it was seasoned with only lime juice.
You could do a lot better somewhere else. The bathroom was also smelled, which is to be expected, but it smelled like there was urine on the tiles.

Juliet has been a delicious and wonderful place for eating since I moved to the area several years ago. I love to come here with groups of friends, family, and solo. I’m currently making my way through their brunch menu but their lunch and dinner menus are also fun to try out. I think the reason I love coming back here is because of the amazing atmosphere. The servers are always thoughtful, kind, and helpful. And the other guests have always been equally nice. I can’t wait for all the future meals I’ll get to have here.

I had a 7:15 reservation and we weren’t seated until around 7:30, which is understandable for a busy Saturday. The real issue was the service once we were seated. Our server walked past us several times without greeting us. The manager ended up taking our appetizer and drink order. When the server finally stopped at the table next to us, I asked if she was ours and she said yes — and that she would come over after cleaning that table.

When my boyfriend asked questions about the menu, she didn’t seem to know much. She said she was new and acknowledged she “should know these things,” which I appreciated — but even for someone new, the rule of thumb in service is to greet your table within the first minute, no matter how busy or overwhelmed you are. I’ve been in the service industry for 15 years and that is day-one training.

We ordered several appetizers, the spaghetti, and ended with chocolate cake. The food was okay but not good enough to make us stay longer given the service experience. We ended the night early because it just wasn’t enjoyable.

I finally made it to Juliet in Union Square, Somerville — and it was such a treat. The atmosphere is playful and welcoming, and the food is fresh, beautifully presented, and unlike anything else I’ve tried in the Boston area. My favorites were the salmon entrée and the gazpacho. I’ll definitely be back soon to explore more of the menu!

– We enjoyed the mussels/fries and the elote risotto. The menu is interesting and more of a fusion/inspired menu of different cultures (French, Italian, Mexican)
– Friendly and attentive service
– 20 percent service fee added to bill. They explain it as a distribution to the staff evenly. I just feel the negative attention it draws can’t possibly be worth it. I would tip for good service as I’m sure most who come here would as well

Juliet has a great atmosphere with aesthetic food, but price does not translate to decent portion sizes and consistent service. But the food was still tasty and I would consider coming back to try the dinner menu.

Food: I think the food all around was great. The fluffy eggs and the patatas brava were the highlight but the plates overall were not substantial. For example, each omelette was rather small and only came with half a slice of toast.

Service: Service was good! We got sat fairly quickly and only had a small blunder of a wrong drink, but nothing major.

Atmosphere: This is Juliet’s strong point. The decor was very cohesive from the furniture down to the wall paint. It makes the dining experience more up-scale.

Extremely disappointing food. Started with calamari, which was alright. The pappardelle was overcooked and the fried fish to supplement was flavorless, but this dish was tolerable. The steak frites was one of the worst steaks I have ever had. The first steak came out medium well to well done, and was room temperature with little flavor. We asked for a new steak to be medium rare and to be warmer. Instead, we were served a soggy steak with no sear that was even colder than the first and rubbery to eat. The steak was also under seasoned, though they slapped on an extra spoon of butter in attempt to save the dish. I suspect these steaks may have been overcooked by sous vide, hence the sogginess, lack of sear, and inability for them to serve us a less sad steak. The service was good, and waitstaff were friendly, but I could not recommend the food less.

My wife and I had the pleasure of hosting our wedding in Juliet’s relatively new event space (just next door to the restaurant!) this past Saturday.
The experience was incredible from start to finish. From the beginning of the planning process, 3 short months ago, all the way up to the delicious wedding cake, I have 0 complaints/critiques. Katie, the event coordinator was such a pleasure to work with. She was thorough, patient, and most importantly, so kind and warm with my endless detail questions. She made sure to accommodate every single one of our requests, no matter how silly it felt for me to ask (i.e. anchovies on the side for the salad, not directly on top 🙂 ). The ceremony was stunning, cocktail hour in the social club was SO fun and laid back, and the dinner back in the original wedding space was magical. Hannah, our point person for everything on the day of, did an amazing job with set up of the ceremony, dinner space, and making all of our guests feel so welcome and special. She was a joy to chat with, worked very efficiently, and made sure everything was perfect throughout.
Our guests (and we as the brides!) were obsessed with the food, from the first bite of the transcendent deviled egg, to the last bite of perfectly balanced chocolate cake with salted caramel buttercream frosting.

Thank you so much Juliet for making our wedding more fun than we could have ever imagined <3 Can't wait to be back for all of our anniversary dinners!!

Very cozy inviting space, good lighting, not loud. The menu is French/Italian – authentic and delicious. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend.

When you walk in, you’re greeted by a smell not too different from mussels gone bad, which is surprising given the newish looking decor.

We had no qualms about the service (even though we didn’t see an automatic 20% to be added on the menu, maybe we missed it), but food did not match expectations to be blunt.

8 teeny baked mussels for $12 (with poor presentation, 4 shrimps for $16- the prices felt laughable. Tasted good, but simply too expensive.

The atrocious thing that prompted my review was the strawberry shortcake. It was the driest and most freezer-burnt /fridge-burnt cake I have tasted, and the cake itself was a simple vanilla cake that it looked like an amateur bake.

The pappardelle pasta dish came with an inch of oil on the bottom as well.

All in all, a disappointing dinner, though service was nice and the timing of each dish was good.
