The food was okay, they could’ve served it a bit faster tho because when we got our food, it was already cold. We ordered the calamari appetizer, 2 beef burgers and a pesto pasta, but they waited until all the food was done before serving which left the food cold.

Numerous establishments in Suriname have tried to make their own bagels – the bagels at Julia were super fresh, it may have been made by them or locally – not sure on that. What is clear is that they were fresh! Think fresh like getting one in LA or NY with a scoop of whatever rumbles your tummy.

The eggs and bread were also great. The bread once again – seems like it was baked freshly by Julia’s.

Other ingredients such as tomatoes and other greens tasted super fresh – they were so fresh that if you told me that they hand pick it each morning, I’ll believe it!

I went on a Saturday morning, parking is plentiful along the street. There’s some parking on the premises, however during the week I don’t believe we can use the parking that’s on the premises

Amazing food and great staff. The restaurant is beautiful but crowded. Even then, it is worth the wait!!

Had a beef burger, a sweet glass of wine and and crème brûlée. I enjoyed the fresh ingredients, well cooked meat, the kind and fast service. The crème brûlée was nice but not warm enough. All very healthy and easy to digest – I had a good time, will do it again.

Great quality and prices. They don’t cheap out on ingredients, unlike most restaurants in Surinam these days. The sauce on the burger was a bit too sweet for my taste, or else I’d give it 5/5.
Service: 10/5 (if that’s possible), the staff was really nice. We liked the vibe of the place, so before we knew it, it was passed closing time and they let us stay a half an hour longer.
Ambiance: 5/5

Do not waste your money or time here

I had the worst dining experience ever at this restaurant. I ordered the tuna tataki and it smelled funky. The cucumber on the plate was old and had a white film on it. The calamari was a joke. They were tiny, overcooked, and greasy, and there was very little of it for the price. The salad had mushy broccoli that was inedible and avocado that tasted like it was past its prime.

We didn’t complain to the staff because they get defensive when you bring up any issues. I’ve been here before and even small comments are met with an attitude, so I knew it wasn’t worth it to say anything. This was the worst meal I’ve ever had here, and I will never be back.

On top of everything else, I now have a stomachache. I’m thinking the tuna wasn’t good. I should have listened to my instincts and not eaten it.

The only good thing was the service. The lady was professional and kind.

Do not waste your money or time here. There are much better restaurants in the area.

This is not a restaurant I will go back to. We got a salad and a bowl and both were average, with the chicken being tough and overcooked. It was also quite expensive for the city and was located outdoors in a parking lot area.

To add to the negative experience, the manager was as rude as could be. I really wanted to like this restaurant and hoped to visit many times, but there is no way I’ll be back and urge you to find somewhere else to eat.

Nice food and ambiance. The plants there give a sensation of calmness. Nice background music. Their staff is also great. It would be nice if they opened in the evening, but for now, only in the morning and afternoon.

Neger again… We ordered our food, fully paid and asked how long it will take, we were told around 20 min. So we said we will be back in 20,min. We arrived 45 min later and there were other clients who arrived after us waiting also. When asked about our food we were told that they needed 5 min more…. 20 min later, they saw we were getting a bit upset for waiting more than an hour and seeing other people get their order before us, we got our food which was 2 salads and one order of humus which wasn’t even humus… when asked any it took so long we were told because they were busy… but the people who came after us got their food first!!!!! It looked like they chose to have the other orders ready first, when we told them we will be back…
Quality if what we ordered was OK.. nothing special, especially the Humus..
