I bought a little ricotta pie ($2) and a chocolate/vanilla donut ($1.25 I think). Both were decent. I liked the filling in the ricotta pie, but the pie crust was OK. It could’ve used more butter, it was a bit on the dry side.

The donut was pretty basic. The brioche was kind of boring, but I really love the vanilla and chocolate frosting on it.

The worker, maybe the owner, was very friendly and I always enjoy coming to old-school Italian bakeries.

We went this morning for our first time. Many options in the case. The lady behind the counter was great. One of the desserts we asked for (peanut butter caramel brownie) I guess looked dry, so when we asked for one, she went can grabbed a fresh batch from the fridge. Which is just great service. We also tried the pizza chips. My only complaint is we only bought one package.! So good! Was gone within minutes. We also got package of their sliced Sicilian bread, wow. So good, doesn’t even need butter and I’m a butter person. We will be going back again!

Been going to Julianna’s since the opened. First visit in a few months. PSA: New owners. Im told it will be Rose’s Bakery. New bakers. Breaks my heart to say everything is a step back flavor wise. Nothing bad, just not exceptional. And when exceptional was the standard thats a real heart break. Party pizza was half as thick and missing the sweet and spice of the previous sauce. Custards were runny. Tiaramisu barely had a coffee flavor. Muffin was dense as lead. I’ll give them a few weeks and try again. Maybe growing pains with new equipment.

The staff need to recognized for their friendliness, though. Wonderful people and the main reason I’ll give them another shot.

I received a gift card for Christmas for Juliana’s. It was highly recommended. So i finally had the chance to go yesterday 02/21. My first impression was nothing was marked or priced. To me that’s a complete turn off… But i went for the pizza. I grabbed a box of the pizza strips and checked out. I went to use my gift card and the girl behind the counter did not know how to redeem a gift card….. She checked the balance and seen there was $30 on it.. But she would not accept it…. So i told the girl politely that i was no longer interested in the pizza.. The cost of the pizza was 39.95, witch I thought was extremely high price for it. So i left, my sister decided to grab the pizza anyway against my judgment. To me this was horrible first visit and was not impressed at all with it. But i will say the pizza was very good, was it $40 good? I think not. So in a nut shell, service was horrible as there were very little attempt to accept my gift card (She did check it and see there was $30 on it….)… Not marking the items or pricing them is a bad move. I could have went to Dave’s up the street and grabbed a pizza for $10. that taste the same…
I will give it one more chance, just to redeem my gift car and see what happens.

Really delicious! Very good party pizza, and probably the best cannoli I’ve had in Rhode Island (and I’ve had quite a few, including from some of the places that get more attention…). The shells were crispy and fresh, the filling was not flat and heavy, and the chocolate chips were great. I’ll definitely go again if I’m ever in the area!

I don’t often feel compelled to write reviews but, I’m sorry to say that, my first visit to Juliana’s Italian Bakery in Cumberland today (Sunday @ 11:45 a.m.) compelled me to write today’s (negative) review.
I decided to give this bakery a try after reading all of the positive reviews on Google. Juliana’s is only 6 miles from my home and yet I had never stopped there. I must say that I was disappointed that Juliana’s did NOT live up to the many accolades it has earned online. (One note: Many of those reviews go back as many as six years.)
While I did find the staff to be friendly and responsive, I was disappointed with the selection of Italian specialties (note: Juliana’s ITALIAN Bakery) and with the overall quality of the two pastries and single loaf of Sicilian bread that I purchased. Additionally, I found the pricing to be quite high, totalling $18.95 for the three items I ordered ($8.45 for the 1 lb loaf of Italian Bread alone).
IMO – The value proposition is sadly lacking at this bakery. It is unlikely that I will visit again.

My husband & I went yesterday & bought a canzone, spinach pie, a raspberry Bismarck & apple turnover. Everything was delicious & large portions. We will definitely return as the prices are very reasonable

Julianna’s Bakery is just what we needed in this area. They bake fantastic bread and its easy to call ahead if you need a certain kind or certain quantity. The pastry selection is expansive and does not disappoint. Their lunch deal is worth a stop if you are nearby. The service has always been friendly, I highly recommend them!

This lobster tail is 10/10. Filling literally to the last bite! IMO perfect filling to flaky crunch ratio. I can appreciate a well baked treat! Will be back when the next craving hits!
