Swung by for a seafood boil. This location wasn’t too busy at the time, waitress was really nice and attentive. Ordered some fried pickles and it was the worst fried pickles I’ve ever had, very bland. I ended up ordering the Party for 2, this was by far the best seafood boil I’ve had, a lot of food for the price. So much flavor and I absolutely enjoyed it. Ordered a few beers but they were so hot that I had to send them back so that was another disappointment. Overall I’ll be back for the seafood boil but that’s it, water from this place only.

We came on a Sunday night and it was semi busy but no wait. Food was sooooo good. The food came out really fast which had me worried but it truly amazed me. We got the boil for one( juicy special/extra hot) Cajun edamame, and the catfish po boy. I did get extra sauce for the boil but you dont need to I just like my boils super saucy. The spice was not as spicy as I’d like but the flavor was so good. The Po boy was 10/10. The Cajun edamame was super yummy and cheap for only 5$. We spent a total of 62$ which isn’t bad considering I’ve spent more at places that were not worth it. Definitely coming back and recommending this place to others.

The seafood boils are delicious, the best in the area of Mesquite. That being said, I would stay away from everything else on the menu. The calamari was just crumbs, I ordered the seafood gumbo and it was a joke. Bland and with 4 little morsels of seafood on top just enough to call it a seafood gumbo. House salad is dry and boring. The server did warn me about the gumbo at least. If you don’t like something, forget about getting a refund or switching your meal. They have written on their menu no refunds so order carefully. I will come back for the boil, but otherwise no. Go elsewhere for Cajun flavors.

I’ve had the best experience at the bar ! Priscilla was awesome! Every drink she made was delicious! She took care of me and my buddy’s , always asking if we were good and making sure our drinks were topped off! We ordered the fried shrimp basket and maaannn was it delicious! Gotta get it with buffalo sauce! 10/10! Will come back!

Last night, I visited this restaurant, which I’ve been to multiple times, and ordered my food. It was after 10:45 p.m. when I received it, and when I got home, it was still hot. However, I couldn’t peel the shrimp shell, and the egg was overcooked, as well as the corn.
I called the establishment to speak with a manager, Wyatt, who told me that I should have brought it back last night when the place closed at 11 p.m. He then said that if I had the food and the receipt (which I did), I should bring it back after he closed.
Initially, Wyatt said that it wasn’t his problem. He’s a terrible manager of this establishment and very rude. I’ve never experienced this kind of treatment from a restaurant. I asked him what the manager’s name was, and he said, “Oh, I don’t, lol.”
All that to say, I highly recommend visiting another location because this one clearly doesn’t care about its customers.

Edited 8/2 came in again and had a horrible waitress experience the lady ashleigh(dark skin girl with super curly hair). Didnt check up on us the whole night that we were there. We had to ask other waiters to give us our utensils etc. She over at the bar flirting with the men and speaking to the bartenders and in and out of the kitchen, not once came over to see if we needed refills or anything. This isnt the first time we had issue with her. If she isnt gonna do her job, then she shouldn’t be a waitress. Since she likes to pop in and out of the kitchen she can stay back there. Had to get the manager for that night to make the complaint. I saw the manager talk with her but as she was giving us our drinks i could see ashleigh waving her hand as if she didnt care. Honestly if anyone get her request a new waitress because you will be forgotten. Manager did gave us free drinks, and we requested a new waiter which we had jordy our new waiter was fantastic. Will ask for him next time.

I had the pleasure of dining here last night and was going to do a content review per the request of my followers. I chose not to do the review not because of the food but because of the staff in the night manager/owner. The food was great. The atmosphere was wonderful. But when it came to the manager he was hovering around certain tables to confirm that they are not going to Walk out without paying. At first sight when we walked in, didn’t really notice too much until I was seated, and then I noticed that the brown and Black people were said farthest to the back of the restaurant where the others were set closer to the door. Also, when my server came around, she could barely do her job for him watching over her shoulder every time she came to the table. Mind you, she is not New at this establishment. When our food came, we had two separate meals. Normally, they put them in the clear bags. This time the both of us had the Foil pans. I did proceed to ask the waitress. Did they change the way the food comes out to the foil pans she proceeded to tell me no. As I asked her, so why did our food come out in foil pans instead of the bags the manager then called her to come over and she left the table without answering the question. I ordered the strawberry whiskey lemonade and the drink was made so poorly and taste terrible not like the strawberry whiskey that I’ve had there before. I asked if I could be returned or if I could get something else, her words to me or no and no refunds and no exchanges OK. When it came for time with the check, the manager was standing less than 2 feet from her saying total total check check and asking if we were paying to ensure that we did not walk out with the food. I asked to speak to him. He proceeded to go to the back after I paid and refused to talk to me. As we walked out the door, we noticed the countless pictures of people of black and brown, who have walked out on them, and they have them posted on the front door like mug shots from their cameras.I’ve eaten here before and never had an issue or a problem. And I do understand that you have some people who will walk out and that is clearly a problem at that location. But everyone of black and brown does not have intentions to steal from your establishment. Everyone should be treated with respect until they show you different. Other than this particular issue, the food was great. The atmosphere again was a vibe the music that was playing. The restaurant was singing. Normally, I don’t have these issues at this establishment. But I don’t think I’ll be going back to this location in Mesquite.

Great atmosphere with the exception of the grimy dusty bathroom. Seafood boil is not that greatest as I’ve had better down the road. The Mexican shrimp cocktail on the other hand is really really good!
My issue with this place is everytime I come the staff is always eatting during shift.. From the bar tender to the waiters they all will sit down between taking orders to eat… even saw a dude walking around from the kitchen to the front stuffing his face with noodles.. Waiting for a container to go while our server is stuffing her face sitting down. Im not saying y’all shouldn’t eat but maybe do that before the restaurant opens. If you guys have time to sit maybe focus on cleaning the bathroom?
Anyways I recommend getting better seafood boil from the kickin’ crab for better taste.
