What a catch. I only leave reviews when I am wowed. Our server, mya did a great job with intuitive service. Nothing felt rushed or forced. The vibe in there was great and the food was even better. My wife and I did the usual, which is to eat most of the menu. Top notch. Bar program is also on top of things. Its rare to find a place this good in a town so small. I’ll be back here, even if just to eat at Judith. (We had oysters, beets, shrimp- [my fave of the night], fries, greens, mushrooms, trout, and pasta)

This place is next level. The food is full of flavor and so well prepared. We sat at the bar and Victoria took fantastic care of us. We had a bottle of wine and lots of small plates. But the dessert was the show stopper. The peach cobbler and the vanilla soft serve were the perfect combo to finish of this meal. We will definitely be back.

Tucked away in Sewanee, TN with a Nashville vibe! Energetic atmosphere without trying too hard. The kind of place you can dress up for or just drop in and feel right at home.
The food was amazing and beautifully presented. My steak was cooked to perfection and the chocolate cream pie was to die for. For real.
Even better, the service was friendly, genuine, attentive and welcoming. Our waitress was two weeks away from delivering her baby boy, and didn’t miss a beat.
I highly recommend this place.

Judith’s left me speechless. They had a variety of unique plates with flavors I’ve never had before.
Everything tasted fresh and delicious.
The atmosphere in the place was nice and very well put together.
I would definitely recommend to stop by and try this place if you get the chance.
The desserts were amazing!
We couldn’t decide whether to get the chocolate pie or the peach cobbler, so we got both and let me tell you we didn’t regret that choice.

We had a great meal here! Beautiful space, clean and well done. Good service, reasonable portion sizes, tasty food, non alcoholic drink options such as a NA Rosé and Phony Negroni. They were also able to accommodate a vegan diner in our group. We will definitely come back, and looking forward to future menus!

This is the best restaurant for miles around by an order of magnitude. Goes band for band with any great Nashville restaurant for much less money. Excellent beverage program as well, we got a stunning bottle of wine for what you would be lucky to get cupcake or barefoot for most places. Fantastic ingredients and flavor profiles. No notes!

It was great!! I got Tavern Steak. It came a little rare but crispy bark! So good! Came with little potatoes. Delicious olive oil & seasonings & some type of leafy lettuce they call escarole. I added a smidge of pepper and it was just awesome. We also ordered a half loaf of sourdough bread and it was fantastic. They bring out chili olive oil with herbs & seasonings to dip & it is to die for. Wife got homemade tagliatelle (flat pasta noodles) and they were light & al dente. She LOVED it. To be honest we were on on our way to a concert at the Caverns and looking for a sit down restaurant, this had high marks but sounded a little too pricey especially given the tiny little town it’s located in. And believe me, we are in love with Sewanee, just didn’t think a restaurant like this could hold up to the hype. But it did just that. The bill wasn’t even bad, especially given our satisfaction. So it was such a pleasant surprise. If we made any suggestion at all, it seemed to be a lot of olive oil with both dishes. Might could cut back on that just a little, but otherwise absolutely blown away. Service was top-notch and our host was so nice and friendly. We felt special in our experience. Then I see at the bottom of the menu they are a sister restaurant to Henrietta Red. Well that makes perfect sense. That’s our favorite seafood spot in Franklin.

Judith is my current favorite dinner spot. My husband and I love to snag a seat at the bar and chat with the bartender, Savannah. She is lovely, and it makes our night when she is there. We have tried almost everything on the menu and so far every dish has been delicious. I do want to address another bad review I saw that trashed the entire meal including the pie. I take full offense to this because their chocolate pie is by far the best pie I have ever eaten. It is full of flavor but not too sweet and the just the most perfect dessert. I order it almost every time I visit. Judith is the shining star among the dinner places on the mountain, and you should treat yourself to a wonderful night out here!

Beef tartare appetizer was a big winner for the dishes we had here. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and sweet potato accompaniment was excellent. Wife had trout which was just as delightful, though somewhat heavy on the oil. The old fashioned cocktail was very balanced. For fine dining, this spot is certainly reliable on flavor, though the service was a little slow and flat in character than this price point necessitates.
