My husband and I brought our 8-month-old with us for a late lunch with Grandpa.
It was great to take my father out for a nice meal in the town.
It wasn’t too crowded for the time of day we came, and the view was beautiful looking over downtown Johnson City. I had the ramen and It was good. Not too spicy. Had a good balance of flavor. The Mongolian beef was wonderful and I will probably get that next time.

Staff was friendly and did not hover our table so we had a nice time getting to chat.

I appreciate them letting me walk my baby around to look at all the beautiful art on the wall (and not get fussy)
and not give us a hard time.

My baby (although sleepy) enjoyed the bites of food he tried as well.

Overall, great visit.

I have been to Juan Siao twice now and both times I have ordered the 10 vegetable fried rice and added chicken! It is SO flavorful and the serving size is massive. The restaurant has a lively and fun atmosphere. They have a great selection of cocktails with names just as fun as the environment you dine in. This is a Mexican-Asian fusion restaurant and their menu reflects that. I am excited to go back and try something off of the Mexican side…maybe a combo like the Birria Ramen! Once you finish your meal you can talk a walk through Founders Park because you will be full.

Its a small place and different layout the normal but unique isn’t a bad thing just plan ahead and if dining for dinner definitely book a reservation. Food was phenomenal and even though they were short staffed when we went on a Sunday everyone was working together to make sure the customer’s were taken care of. Highly reccomend and will definitely be back

Heard about this place from the “should I Eat There” facebook group, the og one so I wanted to check it out for a while. Yesterday we were in the area and my husband suggested it and I was all for it!! I had the crispy pork belly and my husband had the drunken noodles. Both were absolutely delicious!!

4.4 / 5 (bathroom and menu condition only negatives. As always score is based on similar price point restaurants and expectations). Google PLEASE go to 10 point scale!

Anna our server was amazing! She’s just everything you hope for. Engaging, funny, prompt and knowledgeable.

I’ll share more later about the food, but the menu is amazingly eclectic. Asian, SW, Latin, comfort.

Wanted to order more, but as it was had two nights of leftovers for two.

They know spice.

Only criticism, menus were worn and upstairs restroom needed attention. This was around 5 to 6 pm so no excuse really.

Will return.

Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry, founded sometime in the 10th century, is a magical, unforgettable, and occasionally life-threatening experience. You know what else was magical and occasionally life-threatening? The service and conversation provided by Juan Siao’s absolute best waitress, Courtney. Highly recommend for anyone with a desire to witness something truly remarkable, a dream of good food, and a decent tolerance for unpredictable staircases (depending on how many drinks you’ve ordered), Juan Siao, and by a greater extension, Courtney, truly ensnared the senses and bewitched the mind. Speaking of drinks, while her potions aren’t exactly something Snape might brew, I’m utterly convinced that Juan Siao’s bartender, Layla (from New Brunswick) might just very well be an expert in divination. While I don’t personally put too much credence into the belief of astrological signs, she guessed both me and my mate’s star-signs and then proceeded to correctly guess our Hogwarts Houses before making us something that defied logic. Like, how does a drink with passion fruit syrup end up tasting like a strawberry banana go-gurt?!? In any case, both Hogwarts and Juan Siao are magical places full of wonder and excitement. 10/10, would recommend…. M.I.P. to my friend who’s moving to Nebraska and couldn’t be convinced to stay in the tri-cities by these wonderful people mentioned above.

We usually come here once a week to eat but this time I was very disappointed it’s usually really good ! With great service ! But this time the server barley checked on us took 30 mins to get us are check the queso was so clumpy that we usually enjoy it tasted horrible we couldn’t eat our food because it was covered in the queso that was clumpy like it was spoiled I started to feel sick after I ate it and the manager didn’t even offer half off on the food or ask to void it off our receipt she just said sorry about that and looked at us like we were crazy very bad service very disappointed.

Food was excellent for lunch… quick service. I had the chicken drunken noodles. They were delicious. The spring roll wasn’t as big as I thought it was going to be, but it was still good!

I had such a great experience at this restaurant, and a big reason why was T behind the bar. From the moment we sat down, he was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly. He really knows his stuff — his drink recommendations were spot on, and everything was made perfectly.

What stood out most was his attitude. Even when the place got busy, he stayed calm, professional, and made sure everyone felt taken care of. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and wants guests to have a great time.

If you stop by, definitely grab a seat at the bar and ask for T. He’ll make sure you’re in good hands. Highly recommend!
