This is a club for the over 40 set, not a restaurant. There is a restaurant in the plaza, situated sort of above the club. While they do have $3 tacos on ‘Karaoke Tuesdays’, along with ‘3-for-1’ shots of all liquor, they don’t get the five stars because they don’t have a food menu. They rely on the occasional food trucks and the aforementioned restaurant, though they do provide free food for certain events. And sometimes the crowd gets too big, slowing down service to the point where it’s faster to just go up to the bar yourself. But their karaoke nights are some of the best in the city, and who can beat three-for-one drinks? Saturday nights are ‘grown folks’ nights, which means you can’t wear tennis shoes or hoodies!?! It’s supposed to be more formal, but that seems to apply more to people over 50 than under 40. Everything else seems to still be game though? Still, a good spot for those 30 and 40 somethings who like to mingle with the 50 and 60 somethings. You can even find some 70s and ’80s on those grown folks Saturday nights! Live bands, comedy shows, call first before you go to make sure some event is not going on that you don’t have a ticket to. Other than that, most events are free. If you used to go to the Signature Room, most of that crowd frequents J’s now. It’s ‘old heads’ recommended!

Hidden gem in the back of a strip. Good time with the grown and sexy crowd. Fun atmosphere, dj kept the jams playing, tacos hit the spot. Chrissy the bartender mixed up good drinks all night! Will definitely be back!

Visiting Saint Louis Easter weekend. Stop by J’s upon recommendation. Nice DJ, large spacious area for dancing, local club with neighboring residents, plenty of parking and friendly people. I had a great time! However, Safety was my big concern. I walked directly inside. No one(security) was present to request identification or weapon search. (11:30pm; 4-08-23). Despite the great amenities, I felt unsafe. I’m sure I will visit again, hopefully security is in space. Thanks.

It was my 1st time visiting and the atmosphere wasn’t my cup of tea. My drink and food were just ok. However it was packed people got up danced and the music was good. I personally would not go back but please go see for yourself.

As a musician It takes a little time to load out of a venue. I played there lastnight and the staff was very patient and waited for us to get all of our stuff out. Once we got our equipment out they locked the doors but before they left they actually sat in their cars and waited for us to load up and jump in our cars before they actually left. I really appreciated that. Not that I need extra protection or was worried about my safety but it’s nice to have an extra pair of eyes on site because we as musicians carry alot of expensive equipment. So its good to have witnesses incase of emergencies. Thank you to the ladies staff of js house of music.
