My first time going here, but I was in the area. Food was delicious. Weird thing, I called before going since I was on a job. The guy on the phone said 15 minutes. I get there, and the lot is full. I had to park on the dead end street on the side. I’m thinking the food will be ready, and I just have to pay. Wrong! Dude took my order all over, and the whole crowd was gone by the time it was ready. No point in calling in I guess. Caruso was delicious though. I may go back, but if I call-I will ask if they’re going to actually make it.

A hidden gem in Independence! Tasty, Fresh, Warm food. We had the Shrimp which was seasoned to perfection! Mac & cheese was so good, cheesy & gooey! Everything was fresh and warm, two thumbs up. We will return and suggest to Family & Friends! Plus, there’s 4 locations! Way to go J’s! Thank you for giving us a tasty place to eat in our Community!

Picked up dinner for my wife. We’ve never
tried this place before. My wife found the food enjoyable. The place was clean and the employees were professional and stuck with business. No smiles or ‘how you doing’ here. There’s a small parking lot and a couple of tables. They’re perfectly capable of making single servings, family dinner options for pick up, and catering orders, but they’re obviously not focused on customers eating there, or simply don’t have the room for it.

We were in route, saw J’S Fish & Chicken on 23ed Independence Missouri. Made a U Turn. Noticed dinning area clean with plenty of seating. Both ordered 2 pc Cod Combo, came with steak fries, 2 slices wheat bread. Whole meal was delicious

I was referred to this joint by a foodie friend of mine, and he was correct again. All I’ve had has been the chicken (so far), and it is the second best chicken I’ve ever had, behind only my late Mother. The breading is completely dry and wonderfully crunchy and the meat isn’t excessively oily like most other places. The facility is very clean, and the employees are very friendly. I cannot wait to try the other menu items but I’ll need to get past the chicken first! If you like chicken this is a must stop.

Go get sum!! Phenomenal catfish, cod, shrimp and fries. Yes, you do want the lemon pepper dust. The Oreo cheesecakes getting smash before bed. I can tell it’s fire but rn I’m all full up on my catfish meal. 😉 Attractive and friendly staff. Clean and cute vibe.

This is 2nd time in a month I got chicken from here and half the pieces tasted spoiled. Had to double back this round as I noticed chicken was not fresh. I initially thought I was in &out way too quickly and saw why. Went back and was told it would be a twenty min wait. Checked chicken this time B4 I left guess I should have tasted as well. I don’t know what all this burgundy coloring in this chicken.NO WORRIES WONT GET ME AGAIN. NOT COMING BACK

The worker gave my order to another person. The lady walked to her car was getting ready to drive off. The worker went and got my order out of her car and thought he was going to pass it to me. After I told him I am not taking it. He took the order back to the kitchen. That’s nasty and should be a health violation. And no one is washing there hands. They are running from the front counter where they are talking money to the back touching food.

Js is quickly becoming. “Go To” spot in the Independence area. The food is great and the service is quick and friendly. I tried to recommend Js to a friend and he said, “I am already on it”. It is a popular spot. Give it an try.
