This is a true hometown, feel-good place to eat that is one of those best-kept secrets. I’ve loved everything I’ve ever ordered there, and their homemade chips are wonderful. Pictured is my Philly Cheesesteak sub that came overflowing with steak and cheese. You need to frequent this hole-in-a-wall treasure in downtown Papertown Canton. You’ll be glad you did.

In my opinion, also confirmed by friends and family, this is the best burger in WNC.
Fresh ingredients coupled with delicious Local or Ribeye beef make this a juicy delicious burger. It doesn’t mater if you choose the Carolina Burger or a Grilled Cheese Baccon Cheeseburger (yes you can make it a double, but you do not have too.) You will be filled.
Couple the yummy food with an old time feel and you will find yourself taken back in time. Plenty of local history on the walls. The place is well lit and perfect for family.
This is place where you get water you pay for. Highly recommended!

I absolutely loved their hamburgers. We had the plain ribeye hamburger and a gouda bacon hamburgers, plus house fries and a delicious real root beer. It was outstanding. Grilled to perfection and the delicious quality of the beef is amazing. On top of that, they were so friendly, caring and pleasant. What a great treat in our motorcycle ride in those beautiful Appalachian Mountains. North Carolina friendly attitude at its best. Highly recommend!!

Quaint little local burger place with big flavor! I had the Cuban style sandwich and it did not disappoint! It was tasty and large. I took half home. The fries were a separate charge so my husband and I split. It was plenty! The fries had some kind of crispy seasoned coating on them, but were delicious. Second time here, and will be back! Yum!

So glad we stumbled upon JROs on a road trip from Tennessee. I had the bacon pimiento burger (ribeye patty) on a pretzel bun and WOW! One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. And I love burgers. So much flavor. Onion rings were excellent, chips and fries were very good too. We also tried the meatball sub and the smoked Gouda bacon burger and not a single bite was left. Reasonable portions for the price and super friendly service made this a perfect meal. Really happy we stopped here.

We stopped here on the way to Durham, NC. It was around lunch time, and there were a good number of people there. Ordering was easy, and the person that took my order was really nice. I had a house cheeseburger with a small side of french fries. I enjoyed my food. The french fries were crispy, and the burger was unique in its taste (it wasn’t like a cookie-cutter burger). The prices were very reasonable for a local place. The overall atmosphere of the place was comfortable. I would definitely like to return and try the local meat, and possibly a sub.

I’ve drove past this place a thousand times and didn’t know it was there. I wanted to know what shops and restaurants were in canton. I saw it online and I had to try it!!! Wow!!! I was impressed with every.bit.of.it!!!!! The atmosphere is laid back and the food is fresh, made to order. I got onion rings and a cheeseburger. YUM.
