We had a family dinner lastnight at JP’s. I want to make clear that everything was fine, but with a few tweaks could be a much better experience.
The table ordered an app, salads and rib entrees.
The salad bar really seems an afterthought and is shoehorned into the dining room with little care to efficient service. To also mention, my chef salad was prepared from the salad bar by the server. That is just the lowest of quality presentation to have a server out in the dining room prepping customer order signature salads. I could have done that myself… don’t offer signature salads then make it in front of me off the all you can eat bar. Also I was told to get my salad dressing off the bar. Not the $14.00 chef salad experience I expected.
The app was basic but tasted fine, though wasn’t initially served with and dips or sauces.
The ribs were a 6/10 overall. Boiling method leaves a lack of flavor internally in trade for tender meat. They were oven glazed for caramelization but had no real flavor past the sauce. No smoke no depth of flavor.
Our experience left us saying “well that was fine, but not a win. Probably not eating here often.”
I would take a few tables out of the restaurant and reduce your overall seating to incorporate the salad bar as a fixture into the restaurant and raise the level of options on the bar from a simple iceberg salad. If the chef is not making the chef salad, remove it from your menu and focus on the salad bar instead of signature salads.

Had the pleasure of celebrating my sister’s birthday @ JP’s Steakhouse on 12/20/25. It was an excellent experience! The food was delicious, the service was amazing (special shoutout to our server, Kimberly), and the ambiance was chill! I’d definitely give them !

A friend and I stopped in for early dinner (had missed lunch) so was very quiet and pleasant atmosphere. Carla, our server was exceptional and food was delicious! I had Chicken Alfredo with broccoli as a side and my friend had medium rare steak with potatoes and green beans which she said was cooked perfectly.

Everything we got was so delicious! Up to the appetizers, bread, salads, and entrees! The staff were wonderful and so sweet! They didn’t let our drinks go empty and checked up on us a ton! 10/10 recommend!

Let’s See… Where do I Start? First intake on the place is the atmosphere was okay. It did bother me that my date and I was sat right beside the register and the waitress station. We had to wait Approximately 20 minutes for Our Appetizer. We ordered the Spicy Knockout Shrimp. They were pretty big shrimp but they were not Spicy at all. For my main course, I ordered the Alantic Grilled Salmon drizzled with honey-tomato vinaigrette w/Broccoli and macaroni and cheese. The wait on that was another 25 minutes. My Salmon was very Appealing to the eye, but there was no honey vinaigrette. Broccoli was cooked great and the Macaroni and cheese was not Macaroni and cheese. It was Spiraled pasta salad noodles with white sauce. When I asked the waitress where the honey sauce was for my salmon she asked if I would like her to take it back. I replied with a kind no just bring the sauce. I waited another 3 minutes for her to come back and tell me they ran out. At this point I’m Furious!! I asked for the ticket with a discount. I was discounted $3 I gave my card and Receipt to the manager. Manager misplaced my credit card because she was dealing with multiple transactions at one time. She had given it to another waitress who already walked off and then she asked me where is my card. At this very point I knew I wasn’t going back. I Will Not Be Returning. Good Luck To You All

Service is not so great. The local paper published an article about the restaurant opening and the owner said that they would be hiring young new workers to give them the opportunity to learn, but it appears that little or no training was offered to our server. Another server had to refill our drinks and bring the salad dressing that didn’t arrive either the salad. The bread arrived without plates. The appetizers arrived without plates.
Food was decent, but the entrees arrived about 5-7 minutes apart. The restaurant was not busy, our server just wasn’t attentive.

It took awhile for someone to acknowledge us and take our order. The prices were real spendy for a t-shirt and jeans kind of place and my husband’s burger made him so ill he couldn’t finish it and ended up getting sick on the way home. Not sure how a chef can mess up a hamburger! Won’t be returning, very disappointed.

Ordered crab cakes I can go to Aldi and get some better than what they serve. The steak had a charcoal taste gave to the dog. They are trying but I am one and done.

So far everything I have tried as been great. My service is always good. I feel like alot of negative comments posted was because they had just opened and you have to give a new restaurant time to find their groove. I eat here at least twice a week. And look forward to many more great meals. Covered porch seating is so relaxing.
