If there was a TV Show that highlighted family owned, small Indian restaurants, Joy’s Biryani N Kababs should be on there. Don’t let the location and small size fool you – this place packs a punch! I have tried every Indian restaurant in South Charlotte and I am really happy that I decided to check out Joy’s. They have been open for about three months but they are operating on all cylinders. The food came out fast and very tasty. Joy actually took care of us during our visit and was great. If you do not know what to order, she will certainly help you select the perfect meal. You have to order Naan with your meal as there is nothing like fresh made hot Naan and their Garlic Naan was excellent. I hope they can maintain the food quality and flavor as this may become my new go to place. I will have to go back and try a Biryani and report back.

A small family owned & run restaurant. We were driving through & checked their menu + reviews, so we gave them a shot. The staff is very friendly & informative. The restaurant is super clean. And the food is to go back to. A serious variety, delicious food & very affordable. We had two entrees & two appetizers. The garlic Naan & paneer paratha are amazing. Highly recommended. Will definitely go back.

This is a nice lil spot with with plenty options. I ordered the garlic Naan, chili garlic fried rice (disappointedI did not taste any garlic or ginger in this dish but still decent), and chicken Tikka masala. Everything was pretty tasty. Will be back to try something else on the menu.

I decided to try this place out for the first time today and it was a great experience. I ordered the chicken biryani for takeout and it was juicy, flavorful and they were generous with the portion size. At first I was a bit reluctant on trying them out due to the hole in the wall location but, I am happy I did. My order came up to 16.22 after tax and was well worth it.

I had the most intimate experience at this restaurant. I went about a month ago and totally forgot to leave a review when I say this is most authentic Indian food I’ve ever tasted in Charlotte Nc. Food seasoned very well to perfection. The service was excellent and they will explain everything to you on the menu with whatever questions you may have and don’t get aggravated when asking they make sure you are happy with your food. Very friendly I highly recommend this place you won’t be disappointed.. This restaurant need to be put on the map to get noticed more..
