Just ordered from this place. It’s better I just fasted for the day, the portion they gave is insane. Y’all deserve to be out of business. This supposed to be steak and shrimp…

Horrible chicken and jumbo shrimp. Chicken is totally dried out and shrimp is rubber and chewy. No sauce on the food and huge chunks of vegetables that taste like they were frozen. This entre was $14 and and not worth it. The cats won’t even eat any of the chicken.! Dont waste your money on this resturant.

My wife ordered online & the food is always ready, fresh, and delicious. We favor this location. Always friendly & able to pick up our food — in and out — in less than a minute.

Great spot and I know Americans are used to tremendously huge sized ports for a crazy low price but times are tough and I felt this was delicious for the price. This guy made all of this in like 10 min and for $32 for all of that I am satisfied as the QUALITY of the food was DELICIOUS. Keep up the good work and don’t let the dumb reviews over how much your getting deter you from trying it out. Publix charges $7-12 minimum for rolls like that and his are like $5.99 or so

They served me and my friends this weekend during southeast game exchange. I used to love joy of Tokyo when I frequently visited Greenville while dating my now wife. It’s safe to say this place is still amazing. I had the teriyaki chicken and steak.

We went at dinner time (6 pm) on a Sunday evening. It wasn’t busy. We ordered take out and took maybe 10 minutes. Should’ve checked the food before leaving but this is the absolute worst hibachi I have ever experienced. The chicken was OLD and dry and cold. Completely tough and almost not chewable. The rice was mush and also cold and tasted extremely old…like food that’s sat in the fridge for days. Save your money and time and go somewhere else. I am now tempted to throw up so we don’t risk food poisoning honestly

Sad to see what this place has sank too since the pandemic it’s not even worth the money you pay try Atami,Osaka or Fuji if you enjoy this style of food the sushi roll had half a cucumber shoved in it and threw the whole flavor off, the portions are ridiculously small compared to other Joy of Tokyo Locations the cheapest ingredient of all….. rice, they skimp on. I feel the quality to service you receive can be met much better else where the highchair’s were sticky and the bathroom’s were dirty the food tasted like other location’s but half the amount I would have driven 10 minutes more to not be hungry after I just spent $80 and the only compensation I was offered was to remake 1 of the 5 plates I bought the review used to be 4.3 when I found Joy of tokyo I now understand why it has a 3.7 star…………. learn from our mistake and drive a little further! Side note veggies are now pre-made and not on the grill and are put in first to make it look like you get more meat this was the best looking plate if you could imagine ……..

I love Joy of Tokyo’s however this particular location has put a bad taste in my mouth.
I ordered a hibachi chicken and shrimp plate and ask for no veggies or rice with double meat and shrimp.
I was told that cant be done…
So I said fine just give me a Hibachi chicken and shrimp plate. The lady said since you don’t want rice I can do chicken on the side.
Cool ring it up. Total around $17 with a water and spring roll.
Food comes out and I had 2 small round bowls with maybe 5 shrimp in one and 15 pieces of chicken in the other
When I ask where my plate was I was told oh I took the plate off…
No clue why and she went into the typical response “sorry I no understand”
Never offered to fix it nor try to explain it to me
I mean if someone orders double the meat why would you give them less meat than they would have gotten on a regular plate?

This appears to be a franchise. The one I visited is next to my house. I visited without any referral. I looked at the menu and picked something that sounded familiar. I tried the bowl and the combo. The prices were a little higher than I expected. I thought the quality was adequate, but not worth what I paid. I don’t plan on going back, even though it’s the closest to my house.
