Really enjoyed this restaurant! The esquites small plate was a highlight, also really enjoyed the fried chicken. I was really blown away by the drinks, I’m a decent fan of cocktails but all the drinks here were highly memorable, the banana sling was so good.

Jowong is the kind of place that has a vibe of its own. Not only is the food absolutely incredible and the staff super friendly, but the atmosphere here is super chill.

I visited for their second anniversary, and although the menu was limited, every single dish that I tried was absolutely delicious.

We had so much fun and enjoyed every drink and every bite that we cannot wait to come back to try the rest of the menu.

100% would recommend.

Some of the best Korean food I’ve had outside of Seoul and love the fusion with local cuisine and ingredients!

Jowong delivers an exceptional Korean fusion experience in a space that’s both warm and thoughtfully designed, with subtle mid-century modern accents that enhance the overall vibe.

The highlights of the meal were the marinated cucumbers, crispy corn, and Caesar salad—each dish was beautifully balanced and full of flavor. These were some of the best fusion-style plates I’ve had in recent memory, with each bite offering something new and delicious.

The kimchi carbonara and Korean fried chicken were also excellent, both rich and satisfying without being overwhelming.

Service was equally impressive—our waiter was kind, attentive, and spoke perfect English, which made for a seamless and welcoming first night in Mexico City. I would highly recommend Jowong to anyone looking for creative, flavorful food in a great atmosphere.

Best restaurant in Condensa by far. My fiance and I visited this restaurant because we are both Korean and was intrigued by the menu. We both live in Los Angeles and NY and have never seen a restaurant take on such a creative and bold move on korean fusion. ESPECIALLY the drinks. We had the pleasure in meeting the founder and I was so surprised that he used to be the chef at one of my favorite restaurants in new york city, Attaboy. He and his staff were very kind and hospitable. Anyways…here is our review! We loved it so much that we went twice!!

Food:
We tried the caesar salad, stuffed peppers, naengmyun aguachile, green dukboki, banchan selection, and kimbap. Our favorites were the stuffed peppers and naengmyun aguachile. Flavor profile was amazing for both of these dishes.

Drinks:
We tried the kumiho, banana sling, kimchi gibson, and the miso corny.Banana sling was our favorite. Sweet, light, and just the right amount of banana. Top it off with a nostalgic korean banana kick snack. Creativity was 5/5. Again, never seen a restaurant that experimented and perfectly execute traditional, nostalgic korean flavors with alcohol.

Dessert:
We tried the omija pana cotta and hottdeok. Omija was our favorite. Not only was it the perfect mixture of sweet, light, and tart, but also the different textures within one dessert was the cherry on top. There was the panna cotta, sherbet ice cream, omija sauce, and topped with crunchy rice krispies. AMAZING!!!

Korean fusion restaurant that received a Bib Gourmand. Had the fried chicken and kimchi carbonara, both were great. Friendly service in a nice setting.

The place is beautiful, the vibe is great, and the food? Incredible. I had the Kumiho cocktail—super well made and delicious. We ordered the Korean Fest and loved everything, especially the kimchi soup and the ejotes (seriously, don’t skip those). I also tried two different wines and they were perfectly paired with the food.

Didn’t get many photos—just the desserts, which were amazing too. Service was great, super friendly. Definitely a must if you’re in CDMX!

Had a great time at Jowong, the drink we got was delicious but it was a bit weak on alcohol. The crispy corn was probably the best thing we got, but the endive salad was great too. The chicken was delicious, but felt a little greasy after the fact. There were limited gluten free options, but they were good.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Jowong in Mexico City. Seated at a charming outdoor table, we immediately felt welcomed by the warm and friendly service. The cocktails were a standout—refreshing, well-balanced, and creative. I especially recommend the Perillosa—think pisco sour, but elevated with even more depth and flair.

Every dish we tried delivered. The crispy corn and green beans were addictive starters, while the Myeolchi & Potato offered a unique, umami-packed bite. The kimchi carbonara was a bold fusion dish that absolutely worked—comforting and packed with flavor.

Jowong is a cozy, vibrant spot perfect for great conversation, good energy, and beautifully crafted food. We’ll definitely be back.

What a great find, we happen to be walking by the restaurant and spoke with our waiter after looking at the menu we decided to eat here. The service is great they always kept the water filled and we’re very attentive. The food was amazing it’s a Korean spin on different plates. The spaghetti carbonara was very tasty. The fried chicken was amazing with watermelon and heirloom tomatoes side dish. The atmosphere is nice, we sit on the patio. I would go back!
