Pretty standard Tex Mex place. Nothing special, wasn’t terrible either. I had their platter with a cheese enchilada, a beef enchilada, a bean chalupa, a crispy beef taco, a chili con queso tosada, rice and beans. My favorite was the bean chalupa and the rice. Everything else was just ok. The meat in the taco and beef enchilada was flavorless. They used the same cheese on everything, the tostada, the cheese enchilada, etc. Service was good, the building was older but clean.

We used to get great food and we loved this place. On our last visit my wife and I had enchiladas. They were definitely not the quality of food we have had there in the past. The cheese tasted like slices of Kraft cheese that was melted for the enchiladas. This was not at all what we experienced in the past.

I had a chicken Fajita burrito with queso topping. The burrito was served on a bed of lettuce. The chicken tasted excellent. The side of Pappas were room temperature and the tomato sauce they were served in was bland and cool.

Quite an inexpensive options! I can not call the Jose’s a Fine dining place, but food was good. I think it is great for lunch. Very authentic Mexican dishes. I have had Enchilada Dinner Grande (three different enchiladas), see photo. Great fresh and tasty chips with delicious salsa. Great service. Thank you!

Nice renovation in progress, like the new look. Great salsa verde, hot! Tacos al carbon was so-so, no flavor to the beef and not very tender.
