Well finally the weekend came and the wife and I decide to drive down here and try Jose’s Mexican restaurant.
From the time that we walked in, we felt like this was going to be definitely worth the drive.
We came hungry and we ordered two barbacoa tacos with beans and rice. Two carne asada and two al pastor tacos with one sope and then I added the menudo.
Yep that’s how we get down. Everything was very good. It was fresh as expected. The guacamole you can tell that it was really fresh. We had to add a little bit of salt which I believe it was set up like that and it tasted so good. The chips and salsa like other reviews really good as well. Everything was fresh.
We were definitely happy and we’ll definitely be back. I know my wife, when she drives through town, she’ll definitely stop by to pick up something. It’s not a waste of time. They’re friendly and it was a comfortable atmosphere.

Staff were prompt and friendly. Food was good with a decent serving. I got the burrito which was comparable to chipotle though more traditional seasoned instead of Americanized. Would stop back in another time.

Jose’s has been in Muskogee for around 4 years. Last night we decided to stop in. WOW! Authentic Mexican food. I will be going back. Excellent price point on all items. I had chicken nachos and a chicken gordito. My husband had the lingua street tacos. They have a variety of Mexican drinks in the bottles. They have three different beers to choose from in bottles. Muy bueno!

Staff is friendly and helpful. Food was super good. Best salsa at a restaurant I’ve ever had. You do have to order at the counter versus having a waiter, which I don’t mind but my husband thinks that makes it more of a fast food place than a regular restaurant so that’s the only reason I gave a 3 on the atmosphere.

A very chilled spot for street taco! Good flavor, great service, and clean space! The guacamole tasted so fresh and has well-rounded flavor. We ordered Asada, Al pastor, barbacoa and chorizo. They are beautifully plated with a whole lot of meat!

They have the best tacos in town! I’ll definitely have to try their torta next time. This time I tried they’re carne asada and barbacoa tacos, they were truly delicious and everything was fresh. The red sauce is actually spicy to my surprise, as most salsas are usually weak around here. I recommend this to anyone that wants good tacos!

When you find a little family run place it can be hit or miss, but Jose’s knocks it out of the park. It is small so get there early for lunch if you want a seat. The salsa and queso is good, the enchiladas are delicious. The place quickly became packed, which is a good sign. Take out is an option!
