Excellent food. The server was great. The prices on the lunch menu for the portions you get was awesome…. Would have liked to have authentic music playing but the tables and wall art are really cool….. Will definitely eat there again. They have several sauces including habanero that were really good as well.

Just an overall “eh” experience. I wouldn’t really call much of these dishes traditional Mexican more like texmex. Asked our server for more time to decide of we wanted an appetizer since I’d never been to this place got more than enough that I was able to know what I wanted to eat as well. He came back asked we were ready to order. We said yes and went “we’ll start with the appetizer ” gave the one we wanted and then he walked off with taking the rest of our order. Forced to wait until after we got our appetizer to order. Food was okay but not great, underseasoned.

Stopped in after hiking the park. Hubs ordered the chimichanga, said that it was good and filling. I got the beef fajitas- tender and tasty. The green salsa was great, packed a little punch. The only thing I didn’t like was the red sauce- very V8 tasting.

They advertise that they are the best Mexican restaurant….by who? Today, the salsa was so watered down and tasteless. We preferred to eat the chips by themselves. The Shrimp Ranchero came with melted shredded cheese. Shredded cheese as queso or cheese sauce? The best? Absolutely not. The Ranchero from El Acapulco is far superior and the best I’ve had. Even the Ranchero from Don Juan’s is far better then Jose’s. The C3 on the menu was the same way. Not good. To say you are the best, but the food and salsa that was served, is like a slap in the face. No way Jose.

atmosphere: 4/5 good AC , was busy, so it was very loud . decorations were definitely cool, and the hollowed out table which I forgot to take a picture of was cool too. I included a picture of Dora and swiper that were next to us while we were eating.
service: 4/5 I was pleased, they were busy so it wasn’t the most frequent, but my cup didn’t stay empty long
food: 4/5

my wife’s beans were almost mind-blowing! I would absolutely come back just for the beans
my cheese dip , simply amazing.
the food was okay, the rice was better than average, I went with a fajita potato which you know isn’t something that everybody orders, so I don’t know how many they have on hand or how long they last.. I feel like mine was probably overcooked, I don’t know it was still moist. the bacon was good, the onions were flavorless. I feel like they go more for accuracy by volume than flavor.
almost forgot, my wife ordered a fajita burrito, and after reading the menu ask for them to add peppers and onions to it. I know they only charged her $1.50 extra but I was literally like three peppers and maybe three or four onions.
all in all, I did enjoy myself, I would absolutely recommend this for anyone.. but I’m not sure it’s worth the drive from where I live.

Food was excellent. We went to eat at Fisherman’s Wharf Steak & Seafood, they were packed with a wait, so we decided to get some Mexican. Jose’s was just down the street. Made the right decision. Food was good, server was good, got seated right away. And our stomachs didn’t turn upside down with our hour drive back to the hotel in Murfreesboro.

We arrived just after 5pm on a Friday. Perfect timing. No waiting got seated right away. With that being said when we left the restaurant there was a line of people waiting on a table. The food was delicious service was quick! The lime margarita just ok but the peach was yummy.

Our waiter, Martin was fast and attentive. I ordered the taco salad. Never seen anything like it. Couldn’t find any cheese, hamburger thrown on top, too much lettuce and hard to find any tomatoes. The sour cream was one scoop thrown on the plate. My husband had the chili relleno and he states it was bland and had no red sauce. We chose this place because of the reviews. Not sure why all the hype.
