I have been here several times, it is always a great dinner date with my peruvian wife. Food is always cooked excellently, and service is good and friendly. Everything is fresh. She gets the peruvian dishes and I get the Italian, and its always good. We really appreciate your restaurant and wish we lived closer so we could go more often.

Real deal, authentic Peruvian food, as well as other scratch made dishes. Doesn’t look like much on the outside but they’re cooking up some fantastic dishes on the inside. Maybe the best mozzarella sticks I’ve ever had. They make their own cheese. Who does that.

We arrived at 1pm, but the staff was nice enough to let us order the Peruvian dishes available I dinner menu (2pm-evening). The Peruvian green soup (aguadito) with rice was nice, and the Peruvian tamale was very delicious with some pork inside. The pan con chicharrón (Peruvian pork sandwich) was a must-have, but we would recommend to ask for more onion to put into the sandwich (the staff was very kind to give us more onion after we asked). The lomo saltado (Peruvian pan fried beef with some veggie) was good with large portion. Overall, very good experiences!!

Visited today with family for lunch/dinner and it was great. Service was amazing and dinner chef even stayed even though it wasn’t dinner yet. The Italian wedding soup and cheese sticks(5) were very good and the home made sauce was perfect touch. One daughter had lunch lasagna and the other kids chocolate chip pancakes. I had a huge chicken Parmesan pasta and my husband had a shrimp meal. We definitely will be coming back.

UPDATE: Although I am a fan of the food at Jose’s – I am probably not returning since they not only added a 4% Credit Card Fee – but on top of that they are now charging a 10% “TAKE OUT” fee.
Too much nickel and dime for me. Other restaurants don’t charge those fees – so it’s not worth it for me. Just know what you are getting into.
This restaurant is a hidden gem in Highland. Wow the food is good and the service (carry out) was phenomenal.
Everything was labeled and we had instructions to know what goes together in our order. (See photos)
We tried more of the Peruvian dishes which were a nice surprise. I would love to dine in for the food to be the freshest but we loved just about everything.
The talapia was tasty. Although it was cold when we got home, I added them into my air fryer and crisped them up. Voilà! Awesomeness.
The appetizers we chose were the potato and the tamale. WOW! I could make them a meal. The size is larger than I expected.
The risotto – WOW! This was by far the best meal of the night!!! It was rich and creamy and fresh tasting. The chicken was also just as amazing. It lasted for a while other day since the portions are on the larger size you may have some leftovers.
The only dish we were disappointed with was the Civiche. I think the accoutrements overpowered the seafood. And it wasn’t the best taste in our opinion.
But you can’t go wrong with everything else. Thanks Jose’s!!!

Wonderful place to eat. We initially went there to eat the anticuchos, but unfortunately they ran out of it, so we ended up ordering something else. The food was delicious. The ceviche was amazing (a bit spicy) and all the other dishes were also great. We ordered pollo asado and tallarin saltado among other things. Flavor was good and the best part was that good was fresh made (you may experience some delays). You also need to order the salsa fresca (onions) as a complement for your food. This was our first visit there, but we will be coming soon for sure.

Don’t pass on this place! The food was delicious! And service was nice! We had the lomo saltado, pollo saltado and alfredo pasta…. Well seasoned meat and tender, overall food had great taste! We devoured it! Would definitely come back again.

Went here with some family and had a great time. It was a Sunday afternoon no waiting and really no customers which was weird. I see they do have quite a few take-out orders tho. I had the Escabeche de Pescado for and appetizer.
Fried tilapia, red onions, Peruvian red and yellow chile pepper. Served with lettuce, boiled sweet potato and half an egg.
Everything was perfectly cooked. Fresh veggies and delicious fish. Sweet potatoes were perfect and flavorful but not too sweet.
For the main course
Pollo Asado
Carefully trimmed and marinated chicken breast grilled to perfection topped with olive oil and fresh orange. Served with a side of white rice and beans. I also had a merlot to drink.
Tender chicken and all the sides were great. The combination of flavors went well together.
Everyone else said the food they had was good as well.
Our server was awesome. The ambiance was very inviting.. will definitely return here to try other dishes.
