Home to THE best burger I’ve ever had. By far.

The blend of the meat is perfect. The bacon is outstanding. The bread is just right — toasty yet warm and soft on the inside, and never flaky. The fries are excellent, too.

If you’re in for a big meal then go for the Ernie Canneli. If not, you can’t go wrong with the others — they’re also phenomenal.

Apart from the burgers, the prime rib is seriously superb. Truthfully, everything’s great at Joseph’s!

Pictured: the Ernie Canneli in all its glory.

The service was very strange. We were placed in a corner without anyone else, but the server we eventually got assigned to was great. However, since we were out of the way, it wasn’t the quickest service. Despite this, the food was amazing.

Also menu structure was not most thought out, the meal comes with a salad or soup, but you can upgrade them. I upgraded the soup to French onion which cost $9 on the menu but the upgrade was $8, was not really worth it in my opinion.

Good food, fine service, terrible atmosphere.

We ordered filet mignon that came with a house salad, mashed potatoes and broccoli. I thought the salad was a little sparse – a couple of tomatoes, but the lettuce was crispy and fresh. The filet mignon was very good, perhaps a bit undercooked for how I ordered it but still very good. Same with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive, so really nothing to complain about except the atmosphere.

There are two dining rooms here but we, along with everyone else, were placed in the room that had the bar. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem except for the people going in and out to smoke, letting in a blast of cold air, that made the food ice cold in no time. There was no place in this room one could sit to escape the cold air as it had entrances/exits on both sides of the room.

Add to that the most drab, outdated, dining room I think I’ve ever encountered, along with a price tag of $100/person, and it’s more than a little disappointing. This place wants to present itself as high end, but the decor ruins that facade.

Another pet peeve of mine is unpaved parking lots. It irks me when you go to a supposedly high end place only to get your car dirty from the dust and gravel in the parking lot.

All in all I don’t think I’ve ever given a place 4 stars that I thought I would not go back to, except for this restaurant. Maybe sitting outside during summer might be nicer, but it’s difficult to believe since it’s sandwiched between two fairly busy roads.

We had a 7:30 pm reservation and arrived at 7:25. When we walked in, we were the only people standing at the host stand, yet the host did not acknowledge us for about five minutes. When she finally spoke, she said she was going to get menus and walked away for another five minutes. During that time, she stopped to speak with seated tables, went to the bar, and then disappeared into the back.
Eventually, another staff member approached us, asked if we had a reservation, and then asked if we wanted to sit at the bar. We declined and were seated in a booth in the bar area. Every other table around us had tablecloths except ours. After being seated, another five minutes passed without anyone acknowledging us, bringing water, or even greeting us. At that point, we got up and left. I have never experienced such a lack of basic hospitality, especially with a reservation. Very disappointing experience from start to finish

Had the 10oz ribeye, was excellent. Wife ordered a 12 inch pizza. didn’t really care for it, think is probably a frozen pizza or perhaps just a frozen crust, not homemade. they did offer something else and comped us a dessert. one part of the fresh mozzarella was hard and dry. the Caribbean rum cocktail was very good. our server John was excellent.

Not being from this area, Joseph’s was recommended to us. This is our fourth trip to the area in 15 months. We made reservations for seven people, three being kids, and specifically said we’re celebrating a birthday. We were also told since they do not have a kids menu, they would cut the portions in half. The place is kind of rustic, parking is difficult since the adjacent lot has very few spaces and the second lot is across from a busy street and limited overhead lights. Only two waitresses on a Saturday night???; really. Service was sooo slow. Waitress doubled as bartenders. $32 for chicken parm? But the portion was big, the chicken was fork tender but the sauce was watered down, what’s so hard about properly draining the pasta? The sauce was ordinary at best. The chicken franchaise was bland. The shrimp were undersized and few in relation to the price, waiting 30 minutes for four pieces of bread and we had to ask for a second basket of six pieces, the kids’ meals were adult sized and didn’t get the soup or salad, plates piled up on the table-a good owner or manager would buss or help serve but he wasn’t to be found after his initial greeting. NOT a kid friendly place. They totally forgot about the birthday. The waitress gave us “lip” when we asked about the kids meals lacking the extras yet we were charged full adult prices. I normally tip 20% which on this tab would have been $50; I left $20. I could go on but I made my point. If this an example of one of the best restaurants in the area, I pity the locals. One and done and never again

After a hike, we randomly found this place and we will definitely be going back with all the family. The waitress was kind and attentive. We ordered quite a bit of food and she was considerate about what to bring out first. She also brought over warm bread that was gone before I could remember to take a photo. Without asking, the waitress offered to bring us more, really appreciated that! The specials for the day all sounded so good and I ended up getting the mussels, shrimp bisque and bruised short rib over ravioli. Ribeye dry aged steak at med/rare was delicious and we especially loved the fried onions! Really happy to have stumbled in. Hope to try some more popular menu items next time.

Food was great. We were there for a large party. There were only 3 servers but they did a great job! It was a little loud but it was a large party in the patio area. The rest of the restaurant looked really nice.

2 words: Fish Fry.
I can’t rave enough about this place in general. But we tried out their fish fry menu this past Friday and it was amazing. All 3 course meals are $45 or less. We had the Salmon and the Beer Battered Cod. (Salad and dessert included) It was delicious and worth every penny. We sat bar side and had some good interactions with both bar tenders. (KIM & VAL) It was busy (we took the last 2 bar seats) but our service was fast, accurate and very accommodating. The Sinatra bar room is a very laid back feel, where the dinning hall is a little more romantic and cozy. This is a perfect date night / special night location. There regular menu is loaded with tons of great meals. They also have a bar menu as well. Several on tap beers, liquors for just about any drink & their wine selection is top notch. (try the kimmy killer)

Update: this is officially my favorite restaurant, I crave the 20oz bone-in ribeye, best steak I’ve ever had. They have great live music too. Love it here.

Great food, great service. Owner was friendly and is involved in his restaurant which is always a good sign.. the women manager was also very friendly. Steaks were amazing. Calamari and risotto was super good too.
