This place is a small little gem in Kettering. The food was amazing and definitely cooked using their own recipes. Not a huge menu like most other Mexican resteraunts, which was nice since it was easier to pick something. The home made salsa and and their home made hot sauce was amazing. The owners were friendly and gave us a little treat before we left. Definitely recommend.

We visited this restaurant with friends who are regulars. This was our second time enjoying adult beverages of our choice, and several that were handed to us . Always a fun time sitting at the bar with the locals who know everyone in the place. We felt like locals after spending an hour there. The food is awesome, portions are large, and the taste has an Ecudoream twist as that’s the area Jorrge is from. His wife is Venezuelan so this place serves amazing food that has a taste profile different than you’ll get at any Mexican restaurant. Take a gander of the attached photos and you’ll see why this place deserves a visit for dinner and drinks.

This was our first time here. We were craving Mexican food and decided to give it a try. I had a chicken fajita quesadilla, and my husband had carne asada street tacos.
First, the good:
– tasty salsa and fresh chips
– fairy good quality ingredients
– husband said his corn tortillas were good
– friendly servers
However, the food otherwise did not at all scratch the “craving Mexican food” itch. At best, I would consider this more like Tex Mex, or very Americanized Mexican.
For example, my quesadilla was really big hunks of chicken (I had to open it up and cut them smaller) and barely cooked onion and peppers, with a little bit of orange shredded cheese inside. Maybe the menu lists it like this and I didn’t read it, assuming it would be like all the other places I’ve ordered that, but it was nothing like I expected. No white queso, no sear on the veg, etc. My husband’s tacos were also very bland. I asked him if the green sauce served with it helped, and he said it didn’t taste like anything. I tried it (I have a low spice tolerance, he has a high one) and weirdly, it did taste like nothing.
Giving 4 stars because the food wasn’t BAD, it was just really lacking in flavor and seasoning.

Great experience! The owners and staff were so incredibly kind, accommodating, and helpful! They were wonderful with our kids and had great food recommendations. When one thing didn’t arrive correctly, they quickly fixed the issue. It’s a small/quant place so not much room for bigger families like ours but they made it work. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for exceptional service!!

The service was great. We really enjoyed the chips and salsa along with the queso with ground beef. However when the main dishes came we were less than impressed. Crunchy under seasoned rice with a couple of random freezer burnt vegetables, beans would have been good but they also seemed undercooked and had a crunch. The steak was tough and didn’t have much flavor either. When you look around the restaurant you begin to understand why the population eating was probably 60 plus and think black pepper is spicy.

1st time coming here and wow it was amazing. We use to go to the other restaurant jorrge worked at and it was good so we had to make a stop here. We got the 3 taco deal and the tacos were so good. We got 2 beef and 1 chicken taco and they were delicious!! Definitely will be coming back. Also the atmosphere inside was cool.. Lots of energy and people laughing and having fun. Great time!

Owners comes and talks to you every time.
Clearly, the vegetables are cut right before their grilled. Never notice a difference till I went here. Now I know.
Went 3 times in last 10 days, per recommendation from the bartender at Bonefish. I owe him a drink.
I wanted to drink the salsa it’s so good.
Really though you have to go here.
Unbelievably good!!!

Jorrge’s Cantina has a great atmosphere, ice cold beer in frosted mugs and excellent, friendly service. Their chips and salsa is good. The salsa has a unique smoked flavor. Unfortunately, the entrees we ordered had no flavor and were an absolute let down. Also, the shrimp was like pre cooked and added. No seasoning.

The best margarita in Dayton! Jorrge’s is a neighborhood, locally owned and operated Mexican restaurant. It has the vibe of a neighborhood bar where everyone knows your name. They have quite a loyal customer base. The food and service are great! It does get busy at times and it may take longer but it is worth it.
