Yesterday we had the pleasure of trying breakfast at Jordan’s Home Cook’N, and they truly lived up to their name. Their slogan says home cooking, and they did not disappoint!

We ordered the Cowboy Roy Plate and the Cattleman Breakfast. The Cowboy Roy Plate was absolutely loaded with three eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, and French toast. It was hearty, filling, and everything you’d expect from a good old-fashioned country breakfast. The Cattleman Breakfast featured a very tender and flavorful chicken fried steak, two large eggs, and perfectly toasted, well-seasoned hashbrowns. We loved every bite!

Their coffee comes from Station 21 Coffee Co. in Waller, TX. What makes Station 21 Coffee special is not only its rich flavor but also its strong commitment to supporting first responders. This local company helps cover medical expenses and family needs for those who bravely serve and protect our communities.

The atmosphere at Jordan’s Home Cook’N captures the charm of a small-town country restaurant. Located across from the Union Pacific Railroad tracks, it transports you back in time, especially when a train passes by and blows its horn. The interior is clean and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and attentive.

Jordan’s Home Cook’N is veteran-owned and proudly operates as a local small business that truly represents the heart of the community. They offer dine-in, catering, and even cater holiday meals. They also have a buffet that we plan to try soon. Just remember, they are closed every Monday.

Whether you’re in Cypress, Hockley, Waller, or just passing through, make sure to stop by Jordan’s Home Cook’N for a delicious meal and genuine Texas hospitality.

Jordan’s Home Cook’n is one of those rare local gems that instantly feels like home the moment you walk in. I’ve eaten here several times and even ordered catering for events and gatherings, and every single experience has been nothing short of excellent.

The food is always fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. Whether you’re dining in or ordering catering, you can taste the care that goes into every dish. But what truly sets Jordan’s apart is the hospitality, you’re not just another customer here. The owners take the time to chat, remember you, and make you feel like family. That warmth and genuine care is what keeps me coming back.

It’s also such a convenient spot for those of us living in Jubilee, Grand Prairie, or the nearby communities. Having a local place with this level of quality and heart right around the corner is something special, and I’m so glad to support them.

If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!

Hidden treasure! The food is fresh, delicious, and surprising. The place is charming and old-town authentic. The people were lovely and went above and beyond to accommodate my elderly family members. There is a delightful little cat out front who greeted us and tied a bow on the whole experience.

Probably the best tater tots I’ve ever had.

Noticed this gem the other day after leaving the post office, dropped by after seeing all day breakfast on google , which is not true. The buffet looked very good but I decided on the hangover burger and the wife got the chicken fried steak. Both were good burger was overcooked in my opinion next time I will ask for it medium. Good flavor on the burger , came with lettuce tomato’s jalapeño and a fried egg.

The chicken fried steak was the star of our visit, good size and perfectly seasoned, came with some seasoned fries and a home made cream gravy. Will come back to try buffet !

After having an early morning kiddy football game, we stopped for breakfast. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. It was delicious, had lots of flavor, and variety. I did not have to salt anything or dress it up with something. It was perfect. Jordan’s had home made biscuits. I had to try it all. I ate way too much. The cost was very reasonable. They were friendly and attentive. The building had been refurbished. If you had been in the building with the old establishment, you know how much work they put into it. They work at making you feel special by making things as perfect as possible, real silverware, ceramic plates, no cutting corners. You feel spoiled. I plan on eating here more often.

Stopped here unexpectedly while on a day-trip, and were not disappointed. The food was excellent and plentiful (love a breakfast buffet!). The service was outstanding, the staff made us feel like we were having breakfast in their dining room. It was fantastic. Don’t know if we’ll ever be back that way, but if we are, we’re planning on stopping here again.

Let me tall y’all something. We visited here on a whim after a long plan ride. The place is simply good and tasty. Not flashy but a taste of goodness. Veteran owned and the staff spoke to us like we were kin.
