If you come here, definitely try their churros. They are so good and the nacho is huge. They also sell Mexican corn in a cup.

We had been eating at and ordering food from this restaurant for years whenever we were craving authentic Mexican food. It was one of our favorite spots and a staple in our dining out rotation. Unfortunately, this last time we had some delivered, it was incredibly bland. We had chicken tacos that were not seasoned at all. It looked like the type of chicken that comes pre cooked in a bag and they just warmed it up. The carnitas tacos were incredibly bland as well. We also had a chorizo burrito that according to my husband did not have as much flavor as it usually does. In addition to the bland food the tacos and the burritos were incredibly oily. I understand that this is a Mexican restaurant and there is going to be some oil, but this was excessive. I am not sure what has changed. Maybe we will try again in the future and I am hoping it was just a bad day.

Had a steak taco salad, hubby had a steak burrito. Was very good tonight. Hubby would like a little more seasoning but the portion was good, steak was very lean. Will definitely come back again !

I love going to Johnnie’s because it is the best Mexican Restaurant in Bolingbrook. They have always gotten my order right and their food is consistently good. We have eaten there as a family and have also done take out. The fajitas are amazing as well as the tacos. The restaurant is also very clean and has a good amount of seating.

I ordered the large burrito. It was cold.
Look at all the grease in the picture. Then I took a bite & it literally fell apart. I don’t know if they have a new cook or what the problem was today. Also I noticed on my receipt that they charged a non-cash fee without telling me! If I would of know that I would have paid cash. I feel as a customer they should disclosure that before people pay with card!

Had some great Mexican food here! I think the food was very delicious. I had the al pastor burritos and I couldn’t believe how big the “small” burritos were. I tried some fried intestines as well and really enjoyed the taste. It was very clean and tasted just like pork skin. To top it off, they have free chips and salsa. I’ll definitely be coming back for more.

Food was great, waitress was nice. Couple ofissues though. I ordered pastor tacos – but received carnitas. I also ended up waiting what felt like 20 minutes. There was so much grease in my tacos, it was unbelievable. Slightly disappointed with this. Will give them another chance later on.
