They have THE best al pastor tacos hands down! I keep trying them at different Mexican restaurants and none compare Jonny’s. I’m not thrilled with their steak tacos and I’ve never had the chicken. Also their salsa for chips & salsa is delicious!I brought my sister here and she had one of each. She loved the al pastor and the chicken. I was near this place and decided to stop and get some chicken tacos w/onions cilantro. I prefer my chicken shredded not cubed (just me) and I felt like it really didn’t have much flavor? Chicken didn’t look like it had any seasoning? Undecided if I will try again. There is a good tiny dive joint not far from me that has much better food and their shrimp tacos are awesome!

I love going to Johnnie’s because it is the best Mexican Restaurant in Bolingbrook. They have always gotten my order right and their food is consistently good. We have eaten there as a family and have also done take out. The fajitas are amazing as well as the tacos. The restaurant is also very clean and has a good amount of seating.

My 1st time there and I was very impressed with the friendly people and the quality of the food with good prices. I’ve been driving further for my favorite Mexican food, but not any more. I’m shocked to hear they been around 10 years and I never heard of them until I found them on Google. Keep up the fantastic work, you earned my business. I already referred 2 of my friends.

Food was great, waitress was nice. Couple ofissues though. I ordered pastor tacos – but received carnitas. I also ended up waiting what felt like 20 minutes. There was so much grease in my tacos, it was unbelievable. Slightly disappointed with this. Will give them another chance later on.

I asked for crispy tripe tacos and got this soggy sticky meat, the horchata is kept in a sour cream container. Place is empty for a reason. Stay away go anywhere, literally anywhere is better than this.
